Keep up with Shekina on Instragam: @SHEKS_M.G.F.
By Shekina M. Gonzalez From the moment we hit those teen years, we begin to speak, look, act and most importantly think differently. At times we believe to be superior. We think that we are fully matured and should have absolute free will. In reality, however, we know a lot less than what we think. There are boundaries that we need to respect. As teenagers we begin to try new things we’ve never considered, such as dances, new friends, and love. We tend to be misunderstood; we give off the wrong attitude. We even overlook great things, the ones that don’t last forever. As we mature, we learn to acknowledge all the brainless mishaps we caused. Every single one of us has done something uncalled for. Many people tell us to take it slow on life, to enjoy our time while it lasts. They have lived already! It’s most certainly a helpful piece of advice. I say teenage years can be the best and worst years of one’s life. At last, we may look back and smile that it’s all over; we’ve moved on. We're teenagers. We count the years. We think we're smart. But we're not. We don't know anything. -Hayley Williams |
