What do you do when you’ve prohibited sweets into your home to the benefit of you, but the cravings and desire for something sweet gets stronger by the minute? Two options. One, you gather the strength to leave your home and expose yourself to strangers as you find the right treat. Two, you look into your pantry closet and find a way to make something sweet for yourself. By the time you find a recipe, you’ve already decided you’re exhausted and you much rather stay with the craving, ignore it, go to sleep or eat something else that doesn’t exactly satisfy your craving. At the very least, you’re proud you didn’t go to the market for a twinkie, a hoho, a ding dong, or a pack of oreos. I found the solution to this overwhelming problem a while ago. Thanks to Chocolate Covered Katie and Alexandra Andersson, I have combined two recipes in a simple way that ease and satisfy the craving every single time. It’s a guest favorite too. Method: Mix and serve *The consistency is like a sauce and so worth it. I like to drizzle it over the mug cake and save the rest for chocolate strawberries, frozen bananas, or another mug cake. This chocolate frost sauce is my go to. It’s quick and easy and it pairs well with frozen fruit. Great for peanut butter cups too. These recipes have been adapted from these two gals.
