Sleep Problems Everyone knows the stereotype that teens and young adults like to sleep too much! But is this really the case? If you ask a few different teachers, they will, in fact, tell you that most of their students suffer from the opposite problem - they just aren’t getting enough sleep! This is, more often than not, because they have a very busy social life after school and don’t get home until very late. Even though you may be having lots of fun, this could be having a negative impact on your education as many studies link a lack of sleep to poor concentration. Bullying One of the top complaints amongst students is bullying. Most teens and young adults have been put under pressure by their fellow students to do something that they might not be happy about. Many have also been physically or verbally abused. If this is happening to you, you should speak to a teacher straight away. If that doesn’t improve the situation, you might need to take the matter to some education solicitors. These are professionals who can help in matters of inclusion as well as mental and emotional health. Money Management If you are already at college, you will know just how important it is to stay on top of your finances! Not at college yet? Then you will have all this to come, so it’s a good idea to start and prepare yourself to be financially independent now! Once you start college, you will find that it might be very tempting to try and have a good time all the time. But can you really afford that? It’s important you learn how to budget so that you can afford your new independence. Procrastination We have all suffered from procrastination at one point or another, but it is really crucial to try and put an end to this habit once your studies become challenging. There is just no way you will be able to get the grades you deserve if you are too busy surfing the Internet or doing something else instead of studying! We all have our different ways of overcoming procrastination, you just need to find something that works for you. In theory, getting great grades isn’t that hard. You just need to make sure that you understand the problems you face and have your own solutions for them.
