Splitting up from your boyfriend after a lengthy relationship will tear your world apart. Matters are made even worse if you lived together or have children. While it might feel like the end of your world, it isn’t. Getting back on your feet as soon as possible is a must.
There are several ways to
 help rediscover your happiness after a heartbreak. Rather than doing things as a pair, you now only have to worry about yourself. Embrace this freedom. Do things for you. Work on you. Now is the time to rediscover yourself as an individual. 

Here is an easy guide to finding happiness once more.

Improve Your Appearance
When you look good, you feel good too. It doesn’t matter how fragile you are on the inside; a little pampering session will boost any girl’s spirit.

During the relationship, you probably felt a little guilty about spending money. Perhaps on goodies or personal pampering. Breakups are hard and allowing yourself a treat is okay. Treat yourself to the cosmetic dental procedures you’ve always wanted or get take that vacation you've been considering. Bring back that smile!

Gaining external happiness will help you achieve internal happiness too. Don’t undervalue just how important this aspect is.

Quit Bad Habits
Being in a relationship is special when you're with the right person, but sometimes adopting bad habits is almost inevitable. You know they aren’t good for you, yet it’s difficult to find the motivation for change when you’re part of something special.

Now this has changed. You should take the opportunity to get rid of those negative influences. A simple improvement like deciding to quit smoking will improve your life long-term. In the meantime, it gives you something to focus on as you look to get over the heartache.

Make Time For Friends
The most important part of getting over a breakup is staying active and occupied. Spending time with your friends and those close to you is important.

Juggling friends with your former partner was difficult, but now you have more free time. It’s imperative that you make the most of it. You may even want to book a holiday as a way to relax and stop thinking about your ex. It will also allow you to create lifelong memories with your friends.


In addition to spending more time with your friends, you should also embrace your hobbies and look forward to upcoming films and events too. After all, you probably neglected them during the relationship.

Get Exercising
Regular exercise is a necessity for human life, but relationships sometimes create a comfortable environment in which you may not feel the need to work so much on your physical health. Exercise is essential for a healthy lifestyle. Get back into physical activity. It's good for the body and the mind. During a breakup, getting back into physical activity or beginning a new routine can help both physically and emotionally. Plus, it boosts your self-confidence allowing your better self to shine through no matter what! This is true for people in a relationship too.

Whether it’s taking up a new sport or joining a regular class, there are plenty of other ways to get the exercise you crave. The release of endorphins will improve your mental happiness. Meanwhile, the improvements to your appearance should increase your confidence.

In the process you may even allow yourself new friends and new people into your life.
