Making A Proposal Night Extremely Personal

You’re finally at the point where you will ask her the question. More than likely, you both know that this day is coming. If you’ve both gotten this far, you can kind of tell that the proposal is just around the corner. But far too many couples don't consider themselves as a unique couple. We try to chase the standards that society has set for us, instead of doing what we feel is right for us. If you are nodding your head at this point, you should do everything you can to make your proposal night extremely unique. You shouldn’t have one single thing about it, feel like it's run of the mill or unimaginative.
Don’t ‘choose’ a ring
Every other romantic movie, you see the guy go out to a jewelry store and pick out a ring. As much as the act is sweet, it's not really personal. You’re just trying to find a ring that comes as close as possible to the type of person your girlfriend is. Why not go all out and nail it down completely? Speak with a ring concierge that will run you through the process of creating a customized engagement ring. The first step is easy, as the introductory call is without strings attached. You’ll speak directly with them, no middlemen involved, and you’ll speak about the style, diamond or gemstone and the cut you want. Then you’ll move onto step two, whereby you will talk about budget, preferences and pick your diamond. Finally, your diamond will be cut and your ring will be crafted to your exact specifications.
Make it private
If you really want to make this about you two, don’t go to a restaurant to propose. Don’t go anywhere in public actually, because someone is bound to see and you’ll feel as if your moment is ruined by the unintended audience. Pick a place where it's just you two. This could be on a hill in the countryside, it could be somewhere in a forest, it could be on top of a building or even at your home. Pick a place to propose where nobody is watching or listening. It's just the two of you having an extremely private moment together.

Don’t tell anyone...yet
Why is it that whenever a couple gets engaged, the whole world has to know right away? You’ve only just put the engagement ring on, this is your moment together. Telling your friends and family can wait, revel in your moment a little longer. In fact, how about a week? Seven whole days. That’s not a lot really. It can be your little secret. For many people getting engaged at the moment when you both decide, it's you two against the world. If you keep things under wraps for a little while, it's a secret that only you two share. Only you two know what your future is going to be like, no one else needs to know; yet.

Do not make a carbon copy engagement experience if you can help it. Don’t choose a ring, create one yourself. Pick a spot to propose where nobody else can watch.
