How To Get Smart And Protect Your Skin

Your skin has the vital role of protecting your body. So it makes sense to do everything you can to protect your skin, so it can protect you. Allowing your skin to get damaged by the sun or the cold is unwise. You could develop sun spots, sensitivity and even skin cancer.

These tips we recommend will look after your skin and help it look and feel healthier.

1. Limit your time in the sun
The Sun provides our skin with vitamins that keep it looking good. But too much time in it can cause irreparable damage to our skin. It’s best to limit your time outside and try to avoid being out when it’s heat is at it’s strongest. Using a high factor sunscreen everyday will protect you from the UV rays. This is what causes your skin to burn. Reapply throughout the day to get the best protection. Light long sleeved tops and jackets will also reduce the expose your skin has to the sun. Protect head with a wide brimmed hat to avoid burning your scalp.

2.  Stay hydrated
Keeping your skin hydrated make it more supple and less likely to dry out. You can do this by drinking plenty of water each day or applying moisturiser to your skin. Use good quality products that will hydrate your skin. Try to use the best eye cream you can find to protect the thinner, more sensitive skin around your eyes. For your skin to fully absorb a moisturising lotion, it is best to use after a hot bath or shower. If you are in a cold location, remember to use a hydrating hand lotion to protect your hands. A moisturising lip balm will also stop your lips from getting chapped. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, just get the best product for you.
3. Check your skin
Always keep an eye on the condition of your skin. If you continually have red or inflamed areas on your skin, you may have an infection. It’s always important check freckles for any significant changes in their colour or textures. Ask your family or friends to help you keep a check on freckles in places you can’t see. If you notice an area of your skin looks or feels different, please seek medical attention at once. There are many different skin problems, but it helps if you ask for help before the issue gets worse.

Also, check the products you are using on your skin. Cleansers and makeup can cause rashes and inflammation. There may be an ingredient included that you may be allergic to or may be too harsh for your skin. There are plenty of great sensitive skin care products you can use if this is the case. Work out exactly which products you use on that particular area and it shouldn’t take long to find out which one is causing the problem.

These are just three tips on how you can get smart and protect your skin. Remember that the cold can affect your skin just as much as the sun. Just take the right precautions and you’ll have great looking skin no matter what the weather is like.
