Are you someone who lacks a bit of confidence in general? Perhaps you are someone who is fine in most situations, but when it comes to dating, you are a bundle of nerves? We hear that! The dating world is a hard one. Yes, it is a lot of fun, but it's filled with jitters and butterflies - both the good and the bad kind. However, there are ways that you can boost your confidence, and exude that confidence we and you know is in there. After all, even if you are absolutely terrified inside, your date does not need to know that this is the case. With that being said, read on to discover how to be more confident on a date.
Initiate the date - There is only one place to begin, and this is by being the one to initiate the date. This is a great way to show your confidence, even if you don’t have it. If you have been talking to someone for quite some time now, yet you seem to be stuck in a bit of a lull because neither of you has asked each other on a date yet, be the one to do it. After all, it is much easier to act like you are confident over text or online chat anyway. Plus, what’s the worst that can happen? He says no? Well, he won’t be there to see your disappointment, so you can brush it off! If you are the one to initiate the date, you are in the driving seat when it comes to confidence, so it is a good way to get off to a great start.

Wear something that makes you feel comfortable - One of the worst things that women do on a date is wear something they are not comfortable in. It does not matter whether it is heels that are too high for you or a dress that is too tight if you wear something you are not comfortable in, it hurts your confidence because you spend the whole time worrying about what you are wearing, rather than enjoying your date. If you feel comfortable in your clothes and shoes, on the other hand, you will feel more confident. Plus, what looks better, someone wearing flat shoes and walking comfortably, or someone wearing high heels and walking like they have constipation? We know what we would prefer!

Practice - Why not have a practice date? There are many different ways you can go about this. One of the easiest options is to get one of your friends to pretend to be your date. You can then practice asking different questions and so on. However, if you find that this does not really help you because you know your friend and so, naturally, you feel comfortable, there are other options. You could try the likes of GuySpy Voice so that you can practice speaking to someone you don’t really know yet could be attracted to. You may feel like this is a bit of a silly idea, but you will be surprised - it makes good practice and you can get some of those nerves out of the way too!
Calm down - In order to be confident, you need to be calm. If you are the sort of person that works yourself up into a frenzy when you are nervous, you need to find an effective method for dealing with these nerves. Dating anxiety can impact us all, but you can deal with it. Take some time to relax before your date. If you are rushing around at the last moment and you do not give yourself enough time to get ready, you are only going to stress yourself out. Instead, make sure you have plenty of time to get ready and chill out before your date. You should also practice deep breathing too. Why not listen to some relaxing music? This should help you to unwind and relax, ensuring you are in the zone for your date and that you do not feel nervous. If you are calm and relaxed, it is likely that you will be more spontaneous and playful during your date.

Remember, your date is human too - While you are busy getting yourself stressed out, it can be easy to forget that your date is human too. He is not going to be perfect. He is going to be experiencing all of the emotions that you are experiencing too. While you are so busy stressing about your own nerves, it can be easy to forget that your date probably feels nervous as well. Why not take the burden off yourself and help make the other person relax? This has a two-way effect. Not only will it help to divert the focus away from how you are feeling, but it will ensure you feel a lot more confident and calm too. You should be aware of the words that you use when you are trying to make the other person feel comfortable, as they can have a big effect. Don’t use any depressing or negative words as they can have a subliminal impact on our consciousness. Instead, keep things as positive as you can and always describe things with happy tones.
As you can see, there are many different ways that you can appear like you are more confident on a date. If you follow the suggestions that have been presented above, you can make sure you appear much more confident when going on any date. It does not matter whether you truly feel confident or not, giving the impression that you are helps you believe it too, causing your mind and body to embody that confidence. This helps your comfort and your dates. Plus, this attractive tribute will have you wanting to keep working on this characteristic and in turn helps you feel attractive and sure of yourself. You know what they say - fake it until you make it!
