Don't Suffer In Silence: Body Issues That Girls Face That They Hate Talking About!

Being a girl can suck sometimes. We have so much to worry about, and our appearance can easily drag us down. In fact, you might be surprised to hear that we worry about our body 252 times a week! However, we tend to worry about it to ourselves and don’t want to talk to anyone else about it. Here are some body issues that girls face and hate talking about, plus what you can do about it!

Acne ​

When we are with our friends, we all do speak about our skin. We often moan about a spot that won’t go away. However, if you are suffering from acne, it’s harder to talk about. After all, it can often lead to breakouts all over your skin. And girls worry that it’s something that teens deal with, so they are embarrassed they have it when they are older. But you might be surprised to know girls are dealing with it in their 20’s and their 30’s, so you are not alone.  The first thing you do is try and not stress about it. If you worry about it, the stress can make it even worse. Then you should hunt down some cream to help calm down the spots. There are many acne products out there; you should try a few until you find one that works for you. You also need to look at your diet; a lot of sugary foods could be causing those spots. If nothing seems to be working, you should see your doctor. They will recommend a treatment to help clear your skin.

Stretch marks

The skin is pulled where there is growth and tends to thin and break. It leaves little lines that girls hide underneath their clothes. But everyone gets them; often they appear during puberty for teenagers! Therefore, you need to try and not worry about the marks on your body. To prevent more stretch marks, you should avoid yo-yo dieting where you may lose weight quickly, and then put it back on even quicker! You can also buy a moisturiser for your skin which will help to reduce the marks.

Hair loss ​

You might think hair loss is just for men, but an estimated eight million girls in the UK are suffering from hair loss. It can be down to hormones, stress, or even those pesky hair straighteners! If you are worried about hair loss, you shouldn’t suffer in silence. Speak to the doctor about options.

When you have bad teeth, it can lower your confidence. After all, when you show off your gnashers, you worry what people will think if they aren’t up to scratch. If you are worried about the condition of the teeth, you need to talk to the dentist. They will advise you on ways to improve your teeth. You might need to 

improve your brushing technique. After all, so many people aren’t brushing their teeth properly every day. They might suggest using mouthwash every day to help your teeth. You can also buy whitening products to help perfect your smile. Or if none of the above works, you could look into dental implants to help your teeth look great.

Dandruff ​

When it comes to our hair, girls’ number one worry is dandruff. The old skin cells get everywhere, and it can make us feel insecure. Unfortunately, girls with dry skin tend to get it more than others. However, there are some ways you can prevent the hair problem. As this article says, some experts say it can be controlled by brushing your hair more often. Others recommend using an anti-dandruff shampoo to prevent it occurring.
