Do You Feel Insecure About Your Face?

11/14/2018

Your face is what you show to the world. No matter if there’s makeup on it or not, it’s the main way you express who you are and what you look like. It’s something you can’t escape doing, and because of this, a lot of people can feel rather insecure about the way other people see them. These fears take hold as we grow, which, in retrospect, can seem a little silly.
Feeling insecure seems a natural part of life - we tend to compare ourselves to others and feel a little bit bad about our own bodies because of it - but it doesn’t have to be this way!

Insecurities are common, sure, but that helps us to share in and celebrate them. So if you’re feeling a little insecure about a certain part of your body, you're not alone.

Let’s take a look at how common your worry is, and how you can soothe yourself about it.

Have You Got Some Acne?
Acne is something we all experience as we grow up, in varying cases and extremities. Some people get worried about a couple of spots on their forehead, others live with spots across their cheeks and chin day in and day out… And most astonishingly, both feel the same amount of disappointment at the blemishes on their face!

So it’s clear we have some skewed perceptions of what is extreme and what isn’t, but as long as you know how to combat your acne, you can be a lot more proactive about the experience. Puberty and growth hormones cause breakouts, there’s not much we can do about that, but you can change your diet and wash for a bit longer each morning to limit the effects they have on your face. And be sure to never pick or scratch the spots - this can spread the germs and leave you with scars.
Maybe it’s Your Smile?
Your smile is beautiful, no matter how lopsided your lips pull, or if your smile feels too big for your face. Smiling is a natural response to something happy or funny, and you should let yourself revel in how you light up as a result. Smiling can really change the way you look, and it’s always for the better!

But some people tend to keep their teeth hidden as they smile, for a variety of reasons. But remember, good and healthy teeth come in all shapes and forms, and don’t have to be straight and white in every situation! But if you are worried about the colour of your teeth, or how they sit, look into some dental implants. They can be a very effective solution for both physical mouth conditions, as well as your self esteem.
You don’t have to feel insecure about your face and the way it works - there’s plenty of factual reasons why not, as well as plenty of techniques and methods to help yourself feel better. This is your chance to change your outlook on life.
