Are you sick of spots and pimples popping it all over the place?

You don’t need to put up with them any longer. Just about anybody can tackle their imperfections to achieve perfect skin, and you’re no exception. Read through this guide to get clear skin once and for all!

Steam Your Face
Steaming your face opens the pores and helps it to expel any bacteria that may be causing pimples and spots. Do this every couple of days if you have really problem skin. All you need to do is fill a bowl with hot water, grab a towel, and lean over. You can even pop things such as lemon in the water, to add extra detoxifying properties.

Avoid Transferring Bacteria
Transferring bacteria to the face is easier than you probably think. Every time you touch your face you’re transferring bacteria. Make sure you avoid touching it where possible. Be mindful of going places that are full of bacteria, such as public toilets and gyms. Your pillowcase holds much more bacteria than you’d like to think too, so don’t leave it on there for too long.

Use Spot Fighting Products
If you often have angry red pimples pop up, then purchase some spot fighting products that you can apply before things get nasty. There are rapid action spot creams, and even creams you put on overnight to clear your skin up. Some people swear bysudocrem!

Use Skincare Products Regularly
Find skincare products that really work for you and use them regularly. You’ll get the best results if you use them every day, twice a day. Just make sure they suit your skin type, and they help you to make the most of your skin. Certain products will clog your pores and cause spots if you don’t do your research first. You can find more information here if you’re unsure of which products are right for you. Don’t get complacent, or you won’t see any results at all. You really need to crack down on problem skin if you want it to improve!

See a Doctor
If you have a problem that just won’t budge, the only thing you can really do is visit a doctor. They can tell you more about the problem, and recommend some treatments and products for you that will help to clear your skin up. This should help to bring your skin back to life! Depending on your problem, you may not be able to drink alcohol with your medication. It’s a small price to pay for the results you’ll get!

You don’t need to put up with problem skin any longer. Use the tips here, and you should notice big improvements in no time at all. Spots and pimples can make you self conscious, and sometimes covering them with a good concealer just isn’t enough. If you stay consistent, you should get great results! Are there any spot fighting tips that you swear by? Leave a comment for our readers below so they can add it into their routine!

Tip: make your pimples beauty marks! Because who doesn't love that, right? Love yourself no matter what!

Signs You Should Propose to Your Man!

11/13/2015

Something that’s becoming more popular and accepted, is women proposing to their other halves.

Traditionally, this has always been a male thing to do. Men have gotten down on one knee and popped the question for years, but women are beginning to take the initiative. Have you thought about whether this could be right for you?

Here are some signs you should propose to your man:

You’ve Been Together a Long Time
If you and your man have been together a long time, then you could consider taking the initiative to propose. What constitutes as a long time can vary from couple to couple. It usually takes a good 3-4 years for the both of you to get to know one another properly. It’s usually in this time the initial feelings of exciting love begin to wear off too, and you progress into mature love. Once these feelings wear off, if you still want to be with one another, it’s a very good sign! However, men tend to feel ready for marriage far after a woman feels ready. Bear this in mind. Don’t rush into anything.

You’re Both Happy
Are you both happy with one another? You may have a nice relationship and a nice routine, but is it true happiness? Only you know the answer. You shouldn’t propose as a way to try to fix any cracks in your relationship, as you’ll only make them worse. Getting engaged won’t fix anything. Getting engaged can only strengthen an already healthy relationship. If you have a very healthy relationship, start looking at Tacori rings.

You’ve Discussed the Future
If you’ve discussed the future and you know he wants marriage, then you know eventually you’ll get wed. However, if he hasn’t shown much interest and has avoided the subject, it might be a wise idea to leave proposing for a while.
You Can’t Picture Life Without One Another
If you’ve been together that long you can’t picture life without one another, it’s probable you’re going to be together forever anyway. Providing you have a healthy relationship, that is! If you want this man with you forever and you suspect he feels the same, propose to him. Here’s a guide on finding the right rings!

You Don’t Mind Telling People
Telling people is probably the hardest part of proposing to your man. They’ll hear you’re engaged and they’ll automatically assume that he did it. They’ll ask questions. They will be surprised when you tell them you did the proposing. If this doesn’t bother you in the slightest, then go ahead and do it. Just bear in mind that he will need to tell people too, and you don’t want him to feel less masculine. If he’s quite traditional, it might not be a good idea!

Only you know if it’s a good idea for you to propose to your man or not. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below - would you ever do it? I’d love to hear from you!

Staying In Touch With Your Roots Isn’t As Difficult As You’d Think

Being a third-generation immigrant is amazing. I consider myself to be both American and Nigerian, and I absolutely love it. I get to benefit from having two cultures and believe they each play an integral role in sculpting me into the person I am today.

However, there’s no doubt that I’ve often wanted to know more about my heritage and Nigerian background as a whole. I imagine many other teenagers have been in a similar situation. Knowing where to turn can feel difficult, but there are plenty of resources to make it possible.

Here are four awesome ways to stay in touch with your roots.

Use them now, and you’ll soon have a far greater understanding of where you come from.
Research Family History
The most obvious starting point is your personal family history. Naturally, the best people to speak to about this aspect is your parents and grandparents.

However, the internet is a wonderful resource for carrying out research. You might be able to track down family trees and other cool things. Who knows what you’ll discover. Whatever you discover, it will provide a better foundation for staying in touch with your roots.

Stay Abreast Of Current Affairs
Modern facilities don’t only make it possible to stay in touch with our family roots, though. We can just as easily keep track of what’s going on in another country by checking current affairs. This can be your secret weapon for appreciating both cultures that you love.

For me, staying in touch with the latest Nigeria entertainment news is a great way to do this. It makes me feel like I’m still experiencing a little bit of life back in Africa, despite the fact I’ve only been there three times in my life.
Visit
Nonetheless, there is no substitute for visiting. Engaging with the place will give you a far better understanding of things, and it’s something that will live with you forever.

This is especially beneficial during the late teenage years. College is a period where we are all trying to discover who we are. What better way to achieve this than taking an extended trip back to the birth country of our grandparents?
It doesn’t matter if you go on vacation or take a volunteering adventure. It’s an incredible life experience and is one that anyone in a similar position to myself should be eager to take.

Find A Local Support Group

One of the great things about modern society is that there will almost certainly be more people from a similar background living in your town or city. With a little hard work, you should be able to find groups and communities of like-minded people. Use them to your advantage.

Social media platforms like Facebook are also a great place to meet people. Or if you can’t find a group, you could always start one yourself. Those meetings can be a great way to celebrate your heritage and learn more about the culture you come from.
Appreciating your background doesn’t stop you from loving your current life. Instead, knowing your history can help build a better future.

Here's How I Would Want My Modern Fairytale Wedding

11/9/2015

Getting married in the past was all about old-fashioned traditions and ideas. These days, modern women want equal relationships and a wedding that reflects their true strength of character.

Gone are the days of treating a bride like a commodity. Instead, we want a modern approach to our weddings.

Romance is still a huge part of any wedding day. When you’re in love, you want your wedding to celebrate that. If you are planning your wedding, you might be thinking about colours and dresses. But the romantic side of declaring your love for each other is still much like the fairytale. Styling a modern wedding doesn’t mean it’s cold or lacking in the hearts and kisses we all love. On the contrary, it’s the highlight of the event.

Start your wedding planning by committing to a venue. Both of you should agree where the wedding will take place. You might choose somewhere that is special to you both, or a place you both find beautiful. Often their availability will determine your wedding date. Once it’s booked, you’re ready to put your guest list together.

There was a time when weddings were used to show off wealth and status. A modern wedding isn’t about that. It’s about style, design and love. Start setting the theme for your wedding with the invitations. A guest list doesn’t have to be big. Invite your friends and family, but don’t feel obliged to entertain the entire community. You can find modern wedding invites by Paper Themes online to get you started.

Once you have your theme and colour scheme agreed, it’s time for some more shopping. A modern wedding dress can be in a variety of styles. The old-fashioned tradition of a veil has lost favour. It is rare for a bride to be revealed and ‘given away’ these days. The Father of the bride may still walk the bride up the aisle, but this isn’t necessary. Ivory dresses are often the preference over white as well.
Other colours have been used as wedding dresses as well, so don’t feel tied to traditional styles if it doesn’t suit you. Wedding cakes have given way to tiers of cupcakes, and the first dance is usually a chart topper with modern choreography. Modern weddings are about fun and celebration. They’re certainly not dowdy and conservative! You can show your love for each other in any way you like.

Wedding decor for the modern marriage is more glamorous and chic than it has ever been. The style is colourful and elaborate. Look for intricate centrepieces and gorgeous chair dressings. They can make the fairytale of the wedding looks more beautiful than ever. With so many photographers at every wedding, you can understand why the appearance of a wedding is so important. Social media has become the modern photo album, and YouTube is the place to see the entire event unfold.

Planning a wedding is a lot of fun, and modern weddings are so much more personal these days. The bride and groom can choose the vows, and both can toast each other. Best of all, you can follow your own rules and ideals to make this day your most beautiful day ever.

How To Get Smart And Protect Your Skin

11/4/2015

Your skin has the vital role of protecting your body. So it makes sense to do everything you can to protect your skin, so it can protect you. Allowing your skin to get damaged by the sun or the cold is unwise. You could develop sun spots, sensitivity and even skin cancer.

These tips we recommend will look after your skin and help it look and feel healthier.

1. Limit your time in the sun
The Sun provides our skin with vitamins that keep it looking good. But too much time in it can cause irreparable damage to our skin. It’s best to limit your time outside and try to avoid being out when it’s heat is at it’s strongest. Using a high factor sunscreen everyday will protect you from the UV rays. This is what causes your skin to burn. Reapply throughout the day to get the best protection. Light long sleeved tops and jackets will also reduce the expose your skin has to the sun. Protect head with a wide brimmed hat to avoid burning your scalp.

2.  Stay hydrated
Keeping your skin hydrated make it more supple and less likely to dry out. You can do this by drinking plenty of water each day or applying moisturiser to your skin. Use good quality products that will hydrate your skin. Try to use the best eye cream you can find to protect the thinner, more sensitive skin around your eyes. For your skin to fully absorb a moisturising lotion, it is best to use after a hot bath or shower. If you are in a cold location, remember to use a hydrating hand lotion to protect your hands. A moisturising lip balm will also stop your lips from getting chapped. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, just get the best product for you.
3. Check your skin
Always keep an eye on the condition of your skin. If you continually have red or inflamed areas on your skin, you may have an infection. It’s always important check freckles for any significant changes in their colour or textures. Ask your family or friends to help you keep a check on freckles in places you can’t see. If you notice an area of your skin looks or feels different, please seek medical attention at once. There are many different skin problems, but it helps if you ask for help before the issue gets worse.

Also, check the products you are using on your skin. Cleansers and makeup can cause rashes and inflammation. There may be an ingredient included that you may be allergic to or may be too harsh for your skin. There are plenty of great sensitive skin care products you can use if this is the case. Work out exactly which products you use on that particular area and it shouldn’t take long to find out which one is causing the problem.

These are just three tips on how you can get smart and protect your skin. Remember that the cold can affect your skin just as much as the sun. Just take the right precautions and you’ll have great looking skin no matter what the weather is like.
