Don't Suffer In Silence: Body Issues That Girls Face That They Hate Talking About!

Being a girl can suck sometimes. We have so much to worry about, and our appearance can easily drag us down. In fact, you might be surprised to hear that we worry about our body 252 times a week! However, we tend to worry about it to ourselves and don’t want to talk to anyone else about it. Here are some body issues that girls face and hate talking about, plus what you can do about it!

Acne

When we are with our friends, we all do speak about our skin. We often moan about a spot that won’t go away. However, if you are suffering from acne, it’s harder to talk about. After all, it can often lead to breakouts all over your skin. And girls worry that it’s something that teens deal with, so they are embarrassed they have it when they are older. But you might be surprised to know girls are dealing with it in their 20’s and their 30’s, so you are not alone.  The first thing you do is try and not stress about it. If you worry about it, the stress can make it even worse. Then you should hunt down some cream to help calm down the spots. There are many acne products out there; you should try a few until you find one that works for you. You also need to look at your diet; a lot of sugary foods could be causing those spots. If nothing seems to be working, you should see your doctor. They will recommend a treatment to help clear your skin.

Stretch marks

moisturizerAh, dreaded stretch marks. I, for one, believed they only appeared when you were pregnant! But the lines can occur when you rapidly gain or lose weight. The skin is pulled where there is growth and tends to thin and break. It leaves little lines that girls hide underneath their clothes. But everyone gets them; often they appear during puberty for teenagers! Therefore, you need to try and not worry about the marks on your body. To prevent more stretch marks, you should avoid yo-yo dieting where you may lose weight quickly, and then put it back on even quicker! You can also buy a moisturiser for your skin which will help to reduce the marks.

Hair loss

You might think hair loss is just for men, but an estimated eight million girls in the UK are suffering from hair loss. It can be down to hormones, stress, or even those pesky hair straighteners! If you are worried about hair loss, you shouldn’t suffer in silence. Speak to the doctor about options.

While men tend to get propecia online to help their hair loss, girls are usually prescribed Minoxidil or Finasteride tablets. You can also look at your diet to help hair loss. An increase in iron and protein can help you have healthy hair!

Irregular periods

A lot of girls hate talking about their monthly visitor. But if you are having problems with your periods, it’s best to speak to a GP about the issue. They might be able to put you on the contraceptive pill which will help to regulate your periods. The doctor may also test you to check if you have Polycystic ovary syndrome. 1 in 10 women suffers from the disorder which causes a hormone imbalance. Therefore, talk to your doctor, and they can help you to move forward with your periods.

Bad teeth

When you have bad teeth, it can lower your confidence. After all, when you show off your gnashers, you worry what people will think if they aren’t up to scratch. If you are worried about the condition of the teeth, you need to talk to the dentist. They will advise you on ways to improve your teeth. You might need to
improve your brushing technique. After all, so many people aren’t brushing their teeth properly every day. They might suggest using mouthwash every day to help your teeth. You can also buy whitening products to help perfect your smile. Or if none of the above works, you could look into dental implants to help your teeth look great.

Dandruff

When it comes to our hair, girls’ number one worry is dandruff. The old skin cells get everywhere, and it can make us feel insecure. Unfortunately, girls with dry skin tend to get it more than others. However, there are some ways you can prevent the hair problem. As this article says, some experts say it can be controlled by brushing your hair more often. Others recommend using an anti-dandruff shampoo to prevent it occurring.

Hopefully, once you get these issues under control, you will feel more confident about your body!

He's Popped The Question, Now It's Time To Plan!

Are you recently engaged?

If so, we want to congratulate wholeheartedly, and we hope your wedding day is a tremendous success. That said, now the real fun begins because it is time to start planning your wedding. Your big day might still be a couple of years away, but there are things you need to do right now. Essentially, planning for a wedding is like preparing the biggest party of your life. We bet you are wondering where to even begin. Don’t worry; we’ve got the answer.

Save The Date

Your first step is to pick a date for your wedding. This might not be an easy choice, and you’ll have to decide between the different seasons. As well as this, you’ll need to choose whether you want your wedding a weekday or a weekend. Obviously, a weekend would be more preferable. However, if you book your wedding on a weekday, you might be more likely to get your dream venue and date.

Deciding between the seasons is a tricky one. You might be thinking about a Christmas wedding which on paper, does sound like a fantastic choice. Until you realise that to get a Christmas wedding, it doesn’t matter what venue you choose, you need to book well in advance. You’re also probably interested in a Christmas wedding because you want snow. Again, it sounds great, but you can get a guarantee from the weather. Unless, you are getting married in Canada. This is your only option to ensure a white wedding. Pick somewhere to get married where it always snows.

Summer is, of course, the other popular choice. There are plenty of weddings that take place in the middle of the summer season. But remember, just because you get married in summer, doesn’t mean you’ll get away with a day without rain. Particularly, if you’re getting wed in the UK.

Book A Venue

Once you know the date, you need to choose a venue. Finding a venue can be tricky unless you have always had your heart set on a place to be wed. Your first choice is to think about whether you want to get married in a church or not. You can also look at some special locations such as being wed on a beach. Or even on a boat in the middle of the ocean. It depends on how unique you want your wedding to be and how many people you want be there. Weddings have even taken place underwater so if you want to get married with the fishes, it’s a possibility. The key is to make sure you book well in advance and avoid disappointment.

Cars And Carriages

You can typically book carriages or cars nearly a year before the date of the wedding. You want to get these booking sorted early as they do tend to sell out. Particularly, around dates that are popular such as Christmas, New Year and Summer.

Let People Know

If you’ve got the date and secured the venue, you need to let people know. Particularly, if you want to make sure everyone who want there is able to attend. Announcing the date of your wedding early guarantees that people will be able to attend and change their plans accordingly. You’ll also have a nice clear number for the wedding early on, and that’s important. Especially, when it’s time to prepare for the food, the drinks and even the number of chairs you need. You can get save the date cards from Pure Invitation that look stunning and are perfect for kicking off your wedding plans.

Food And Wine

Another thing that needs to be booked and arranged early is catering. You need to make sure that you have different options for various people. Make sure that you include optional responses for special food needs on the invitations. Otherwise, you’ll have vegetarians with nothing to eat. You don’t have to think about allergies for things like the wedding cake. You will, however, need to alert guests of what’s in it, in case they can’t eat it.

It might seem like we’ve covered most of the wedding plans but actually, we haven’t. There’s plenty more you need to think about from hiring the DJ for the reception to writing your vows. It’s one of the reasons why people often spend one or two years planning a wedding. You might think it’s overkill, but you’ll be surprised how long it takes to get everything in order. Technically, you could plan a wedding in two months. But only if you’re getting married at the town hall with a reception in your backyard.

It is no good going into a new lifestyle change with a negative attitude. You need to be positive and motivated for the change. A great tip is to refrain from using negative words. For example, don’t describe your eating regime and lifestyle as a diet. A diet makes it sound temporary.

Break the habits that don’t work for you

It’s important to ensure that you break the habits that are not working for you. If you have an issue with snacking during the day make sure you give yourself some healthy alternatives. If you struggle to motivate yourself to exercise at the end of the day switch things round and start a morning workout instead. Sometime sit is the habits that can make us sink back into our old routines. Look at what your problem areas are and make those necessary changes to break those habits for good.

Consider long term options to reach your goal

Sometimes it can be disheartening when you put a lot of work into something and get little results back. Weight, especially, can have it’s problem areas on places like the stomach or thighs. So there is no surprise that some people consider a long term solution. This is where places like Bel Red Cosmetic Surgery can offer some valued information. It could help you make an informed decision about your options.

Be your own cheerleader

We can’t expect everyone to be behind us 100%. So it’s vital to ensure that you are your own cheerleader. This means encouraging and motivating yourself daily. A great way to do this is to take photographs of yourself and track your progress.

Be accountable

You need to be accountable for this new lifestyle you are embracing. This is when keeping a food diary and making a note of your exercise regime can ensure that you track your progress. Consistently recording these habits will be a way of working out if you are going wrong anywhere. Or perhaps identify some problem areas that need work.

Sleep better

It may be the holy grail in life, but getting more sleep is a proven way to aid on your weight loss journey. Studies have results that indicate that not getting enough sleep can have an effect on your hormonal levels. Causing you to want to eat more, and the wrong stuff.

Eat better food

Finally, while much is to do with your mindset and physical activity, none of it will work without having a good approach to your food. Eating the right things and ensuring your body has all the right nutrients it needs to function is essential for your lifestyle to take place.

I hope these tips help you to lose weight for good.

Whether you have just heard the news or have already known for a long time, watching your parents divorce is no easy feat. It can cause a lot of emotional distress, for both you and your parents. Even if divorce is the right decision, you might still find it difficult to cope. To make sure you get through this period, here are some helpful tips that can get you through your parents’ divorce.

Understand That This Isn’t About You

Many children take divorce extremely hard. In some cases, they can even blame themselves for their parents splitting up. But you need to know that this isn’t the case. There will have been lots of factors at work in your parents’ marriage which have caused this split. Both of them still love you and neither will blame this current situation on you.

Be Fair To Both Parents

More often than not, neither parent is to blame for the divorce. So it is important that you are fair to both your Mom and Dad. It is still important to be fair, even if one of them has caused the divorce by being unfaithful. No matter what the circumstances are, you need to be open to both sides. This can help you be with one parent without the other being upset or jealous.

Help Work Things Out

During the divorce, you parents might have to go through a lengthy custody battle if they cannot come to an agreement about who you should live with. You should let your feelings about this matter be known. By taking your thoughts into account, your parents could find it easier to come to a decision. Divorce and Family Law solicitors will have the final say in the custody agreement, but your opinions and thoughts can help sway their decision.

Stay In Touch

If you do end up spending most of your time living with one parent, you should still keep in touch with the other regularly. They will miss you and want to know everything you’ve been up to. So be sure to give them a call at least once a week. And if you ever go on holiday with one of your parents, remember to send the other a postcard. They will want to know that you arrived safely and are having a great time!

Keep Living Your Life

This point is probably the most important one of them all. You need to keep on living your life! This is one of the easiest ways to move on and to get over all of the emotional pain. Don’t just put your life on hold to deal with your parents’ problems. You will still be able to support them as well as continuing with your studies and catching up with your friends.
There is no doubt that you will have to go through a lot of tension and stress while your parents are divorcing. But don’t ever forget that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And before long, you’ll arrive at it!

The Truth Behind Manufacturing Makeup

9/27/2016

Are you thinking about manufacturing your own makeup line or just interested in finding out where yours likely comes from? This post is perfect for you. Without making this introduction longer than necessary, here’s the truth behind manufacturing makeup....

Ingredients You May Not Know Are Harming You

Some people don’t realize that shady makeup manufacturers include harmful ingredients to the user. Let’s say you use makeup every day before work. You could be absorbing up to 5 pounds of chemicals each year. That’s a lot of nasty stuff! It’s now more important than ever that makeup manufacturers use safe ingredients in their products. Working on making them healthier for consumers is a must. You can find these harmful ingredients in things like deodorant, nail polish, and even sunscreen. The more clued up you are about what’s in your products and how they affect you, the better prepared you’ll be when you go and buy/create your own. Here are some of the ingredients you should know about:
  • Mineral oil and paraffin - create an plastic type coating on the skin. Can contribute to early aging and other problems!
  • Toluene - sometimes found in fragrance, can affect developing fetuses.
  • Artificial fragrances - known to trigger asthma attacks.
  • Musks - been linked to cancer, hormone disruption and skin irritation.
  • Sodium lauryl sulfate - used in lots of different products and even industrial cleaners.
  • Parabens - linked to the growth of breast tumors.

You should check the list of ingredients where possible and avoid these at all costs. If you plan on manufacturing your own makeup line, avoid these. There is a big call out there for makeup that is better for the planet and our bodies. It doesn’t matter if you’re focusing on eyeshadow manufacturing or moisturiser manufacturing. Make sure you’re making it as healthy as possible.

Absorbing Toxins

The skin can absorb more toxins from your skin care products than from your food. As the skin is the largest organ in the body, anything you apply to it will end up in the bloodstream. As our bodies can lack the things needed to break the products down, they accumulate over time. If you’re ever in doubt about whether you should buy or create something, ask yourself, ‘would I eat this if I had to?’. If you wouldn’t, there’s a good chance it should be used on your body.

Finding And Creating
Safe Products

If you plan on manufacturing makeup and cosmetics, it’s essential you create products that are safe to use. You have no excuse for using any of the ingredients listed here after reading this guide. Remember, just because something smells nice and feels nice when you apply it, does not mean that it’s healthy. We should all focus on creating and using healthier cosmetics to create a better world in the long run.

Have you been shocked by anything you’ve read here? Many people don’t realise just how dangerous some products can be. Want to add your thoughts? Leave a comment below. Come back soon!

Changing Our Bodies: The Ins & Outs Of Self-Esteem

9/26/2016

Studies have shown that a massive 91 percent of women dislike their bodies for one reason or another. The problem with this is that body image is directly linked to self-esteem. This means that the majority of women have low self-esteem for one reason or another - that’s a sad statistic. We live in a world where images of ‘perfect’ people are everywhere. Research has shown that only five percent of people can healthily achieve a body size and shape that mimics that of the women in the media.

That being said, the good news is that there are plenty of ways that you can boost your self-esteem and learn to love your body.

Here are some of the best ways you can boost your body confidence and feel better about yourself.

Dealing with weight-related issues

Picture
Picture from Pixabay
Is your weight the main cause of your lack of self-esteem? If this is the case, the first step is to determine how healthy your body is - this can be done by working out your body mass index or BMI. If this shows that you’re a healthy weight for your height, then there’s no need to worry. If, however, it shows that you’re overweight or underweight, you need to find a way to change that. Simply by eating more healthily, you can make your body healthier. Whether you’re underweight or overweight, it’s a good idea to find out how many calories you should be intaking each day. This will help you to get your body back in shape. Remember, if you weigh a healthy weight but still aren’t happy with how you look, it could just be a case of toning up.

Changing a feature of your body

Picture
One of the most common causes of a lack of self-esteem is linked to disliking one of your features. Whether this is your nose or your breasts, it doesn’t matter. What’s important is that you find a way to get past this and learn to love your body for what it is. Of course, this is something that can often be much easier said than done. A lot of the time, cosmetic surgery is looked at negatively and we really don't see why we should change it. I mean let's face it, you are beautiful as you are. However, if there’s a feature that you dislike and just can’t get past, such as the size of your breasts, surgery is an option, though one we don't fully encourage. Sometimes, the dislike for that feature can be worked on by looking at ourselves and working on self-love and appreciation. However, if you just can't look past it. Get informed and educated on the matter. For some women, getting cohesive gel implants to change the shape and size of their breasts can be a boost to self-esteem. And we are not judging! Do remember, however, sometimes surgeries are not worth having and even so, they may case irreversible damage. If there’s a feature that you have always hated and can’t seem to get past, this is an option. However, working on self-love, with exercises such as meditation and yoga can help you find that missing piece. You deserve to feel happy and you can do that by practicing kindness with yourself and others. Perfection is unattainable but finding a balance with yourself and how you accept yourself and love yourself is not. You can love yourself and be happy just the way you are.

Learning to be positive about yourself

Picture
If you’re always negative about yourself, it’s going to have an impact. That’s why it’s so important that you learn how to be positive about yourself. Don’t make the mistake of comparing yourself to others, because this will severely dent your confidence. Instead, learn to love your body for what it is. Be positive about yourself and you will slowly increase your self-esteem.

It’s no secret that we all have body hang-ups, even the women on the catwalks do. What it’s important to remember, however, is that your body is amazing, regardless of the size or shape. If you want to be confident, you need to learn to love and appreciate your body for what it is. Or, make the changes that will allow you to feel happier and more confident.

With the advent of blogging and social media, more and more companies are realizing the importance of utilizing these platforms. A photography course will teach you all about framing and composition, lighting, camera angles, background, and style. There are many online photography courses that will help you gain this beneficial skill. And they could help you move forward in your chosen career path.

Coding

Coding and web developer positions are also in high demand as we enter w hole new tech-age. Learning to code and program a computer will mean you can add a great new skill to your CV that other may not have thought about. It will also sharpen your mind and help develop your problem-solving skills. You can search online for some of the best software bootcamps that will enable you to go on intensive courses. These will give you a great new skill set for your working life.
Adding coding and web developing to your skills will also guarantee you a higher salary in the future. It isn’t an easy skill to learn which is why it is so valuable in the workforce. And at the end of the day, you will be able to create luxury websites, mobile apps, and software applications. All will have employers falling at your feet. Upon graduating, it’s definitely worth considering learning how to code. If you can learn advanced web developments, they will make you stand out in the crowd.

Excel and PowerPoint

The ability to wear numerous hats in an office environment has now become a key part of an employee’s job. Even if you are not going for an administration job, it pays to be able to put advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills on your CV. It may be that you have touched on both programs in school but want to hone your skills, so you are a whizz with spreadsheets and design. If so, there are plenty of one-day workshops and online courses that you can utilize to up your game. The art of budgeting and making successful and effective presentations is a key part of getting on the career ladder.
If you can show in an interview that you can do this with ease, you are sure to make an impact. Success in the business world runs a lot on giving valuable presentations, so make sure you have the tools under your belt to do so. Add to that; Excel has become one of the most important computer programs to use in business since its arrival in 1985. Excel is used for everything from marketing and product management to financing and human resources planning. If you can show that you have advanced Excel experience, your prospective employer is sure to rejoice.

Stop Hiding Your Smile Away! Simple Solutions For Imperfect Pearly Whites

9/21/2016

Research suggests that most of us don’t think we have a perfect smile.

In this day and age, we put ourselves under more pressure to look good than ever before. The rise of the selfie has caused many of us to focus on our imperfections. If you’ve started hiding that smile away, it’s time to bring it back. If you’re not happy with your teeth, there are all kinds of solutions out there. You don’t have to be a Hollywood star to have perfect pearly whites. Here are some of the best treatments out there for those dreaming of a flawless smile.
Picture

Tackling stains

Do you smoke, or drink coffee on a regular basis? Did you neglect your oral hygiene regime at school? Do you wish your teeth were whiter and brighter? Our teeth are naturally white, but they can become stained. Your diet, lifestyle choices and cleaning routine can all affect the shade of the teeth. General wear and tear can also play a part. If you can’t look at a photo without thinking that your teeth look yellow, it’s time to do something about it. Step up your brushing regime, and organize an appointment with your dental hygienist. Intensive cleaning treatments help to remove surface stains and give your teeth a gorgeous, healthy glow. You could also consider tooth whitening treatment. You can choose from at-home options or in-chair treatments. Make sure you go for a treatment that is approved and provided by dentists.
Whitening is a safe treatment when it is administered by trained professionals. In most cases, in-chair therapies take just an hour. Whitening agent is applied to the teeth and then activated using a light source. The result is a stunning white smile.

If you have stained teeth, which are also chipped or uneven, veneers may be an option. In most cases, veneers are made from porcelain. They are custom-made to fit over your natural teeth. You can choose the shade and shape to design your ideal smile.

Replacing missing teeth

Missing teeth can have a major impact on your confidence and your appearance. Gaps can also be bad news for your oral health. If you have lost a tooth, don’t despair. There are various treatments out there that can restore your smile to its former glory. Dental bridges are a popular choice for patients with a single missing tooth. They are made from a false tooth, which is fused to a crown on either side. Dental implants are made of titanium, and they replace missing tooth roots. They can be used to replace single or multiple teeth. Implants are more expensive than bridges and dentures, but they last a lot longer. Dentures are custom-made sets of prosthetic teeth.
They are the most affordable option, but they don’t offer the same benefits as implants.

Very few people have perfect teeth. If you’re not happy with your smile, it can hold you back and knock your confidence. Thankfully, there are solutions to common aesthetic problems out there. If you’re interested in cosmetic dental treatment, see your dentist and do some research online.

Why Cheap Reproductions Could Cost You More Than Cash

And that’s all you’ve got to last a week.

So, you're broke. What else is new?

Maybe you've just started college, or perhaps you're working in a job where the pay hasn't caught up to your lifestyle yet. The key point is, when you open your purse, there's a shortfall there.

There are some items where you can cut back without too many problems. High-end makeup can be substituted for drugstore options, to little or no effect on the result. You can spend your nights eating noodles and convincing yourself the little flavoring packet is all you need for good taste. Clothes can be thrifted - and you can even earn yourself a little credit if you describe them as vintage.
Then one night, you're getting ready to go out, and your blow dryer gives up the ghost. A quick look online shows a cheap, eastern reproduction of the product that you want. You know it's a knockoff, but it'll probably do as good a job, and it's all you can afford right now. So what's the harm?

Well, nothing apart from the fact it can blow up and kill you.

Reproductions Are Not Safe

Some people assume that preventing knockoffs are only illegal because of the financial harm it does to the company of origin. And yes, there's some truth in that. However, when it comes to electrical items, there is a huge safety issue with counterfeit products.

They aren't made to the same standards, to begin with. Then when they're complete, they don't go through the same levels of safety testing. Taking the above example, nearly 1,000 people are seriously injured every year by blow dryers. Some of those aren't even while they're in use, but when they trigger fires just from being plugged in.

If It's Electrical, It's A No-Go

Only plug in genuine items.
If you want buy counterfeit clothing, it's your choice. You shouldn't, for all kinds of reasons, but it's your decision and won't have any health risks. It doesn't matter if it's a curling wand, straightening irons, a facial cleansing system or just heated eyelash curlers. If it involves being plugged into the mains electricity, stay away from it!

Yes, Genuine Products Are More Expensive…

... but can you afford to take the risk? It might seem worth it to have the must-have gadget, but these are real problems that can harm you and the people you live with. Surely it's worth shelling out a little more to purchase genuine Clarisonic sets or the latest GHD stylers for their safety alone?

If the Safety Isn't Convincing You, Then The Efficacy Might

Say you find a product that you like and you're willing to run the risk with a counterfeit version of it. There is absolutely no guarantee it is going to work as it should. It might be inefficient, or it might die on you after one use. You have no recourse, no grounds for a refund or complaint - you bought it, so you suffer the consequences. That also means you end up paying twice; once for the original, and then to replace it.

Whichever way you look at it, when it comes to electrical beauty products, it's just not worth it.

9/16/2016

Going on a vacation is a great way to relax and unwind.

However, the preparation for your holiday can often lead to stress! One of the main things you need to sort before your holiday is your wardrobe. You need to know exactly what you want to take with you so that you can get it all ready. And while it’s tempting to go splurge on a whole new wardrobe, you don’t want to end up getting broke before you have got your travel money. Therefore, here are some unmissable tips for an amazing new vacation wardrobe without breaking the bank!

Buy items second-hand

A lot of the time we spend a fortune on holiday clothes and then don’t even end up wearing them! After all, some of the pieces we buy are just too unsuitable to wear back home in colder climates. Therefore, why not buy pieces which are second hand for your trip? If you look online on sites like eBay you will find a lot of people selling holiday clothes that they only wore once. And if you are not keen on the item, you can leave it there and not bring it home! As we discussed before, leaving clothes in the destination will save you doing loads of laundry when you get back!

Look online for vouchers

A lot of the time you can find some great vouchers online that you can use in-store and online to get some discount off your vacation shopping. That way, you could end up saving a lot of money on fashionable clothing that will be ideal for your vacation wardrobe. Check out sites online for discounts for brands such as an Eastbay Promo Code. You can then shop online for your new holiday wardrobe without breaking the bank!

Stock up on sale clothing

Before heading to the stores to buy items for your new vacation wardrobe, you should consider checking online when there are sales on in the shops. You can find out exactly when you can buy items at a discounted rate. That way, you won’t end up breaking the bank when buying items for your new wardrobe. If you have a while before your break, you might want to look at the sales now before you go.

Don’t buy too many accessories

It’s so easy to go crazy when it comes to buying accessories for your holiday. But as much as that cute hat and beach bag are beautiful, you only need a couple for your vacation wardrobe. Therefore, just buy a cute pair of sunglasses (which will look great with everything) and one hat that you will definitely use on holiday!

Buy a versatile pair of sandals

Shoes are a must-have for your holiday wardrobe. However, a lot of people end up taking way too many pairs with them. For starters, it’s a waste of space in your bag, and also they are heavy so your case may go off the scale. You just need a great pair of sandals that literally go with everything. You need a pair which will take you effortlessly from day to night while on holiday.

Hopefully, these tips will still ensure you have a fantastic new holiday wardrobe without breaking the bank!

We all feel anxious from time to time. Maybe you have exams coming up, a job interview or a driving test. Either way, we’re all familiar with that pounding heart, dry mouth and cold sweat that comes along with feeling nervous. This is a perfectly normal response to a stressful situation. However, a problem occurs when anxiety gets out of control. When we start feeling anxious or panicky for no apparent reason, or when regular everyday occurrences become a source of worry and dread. If this sounds like you then you could be suffering from anxiety. This is an incredibly common mental health problem, and so it’s important to know that you’re not alone.

Because chronic anxiety can hold you back in life and lead to physical health conditions, it’s important to deal with it effectively.

Reach Out For Help

Your first port of call should ideally be your doctor, who will be able to give you more advice. However you could also speak to friends or even call a helpline, just take that first step. From there you can decide on a plan of action, so that your anxiety no longer has to prevent you from doing the things you want to do.

Deal With The Physical Symptoms

As well as spiraling thoughts and panic, anxiety also presents a number of physical symptoms. Knowing how to deal with them is useful. For example, meditation or light exercise can help to steady a racing heart. An over the counter medicine or herbal remedy can help to ease any symptoms of nausea. If your anxiety causes excess sweating, this can be a source of worry within itself. If you’re wondering how to stop sweaty palms, excess body sweating or even facial sweating you’ll be pleased to know there are ways it can be done. Botox injections have been shown to be useful for this, speak to a clinic or your doctor for more information. Dealing with the physical symptoms of anxiety can be helpful and can prevent further stress.

Practice Self Care

This means doing everything you can to improve your wellbeing, which can in turn help to ease your anxiety. It might mean taking a long relaxing bath after a stressful day, treating yourself to a professional massage or indulging in a hobby. Do things you know you enjoy and that calm you down .

Talk It Out

Talking is one of the best forms of therapy, although it doesn’t have to be with a therapist! When you’re feeling anxious or panicky, speaking to a loved one can help you feel so much better. They may help you see things from a new perspective, which can help to ease your worrying. Or just provide you with support and a shoulder to cry on. If you have a good support system around you and people who are there for you, then don’t be afraid to lean on them when you need to.

Are you, or is anyone you know dealing with anxiety? What’s your best advice for anyone currently suffering with it?

A big part of being a happy and content person comes from how you feel about yourself.

If you lack self-esteem, often it will have a huge impact on how your life plays out. The sad thing is that most of the time, issues with confidence come from simple things. Such as not having perfect skin, for example.

In fact, of all the issues leading to self-esteem problems, skin care is the most common. Studies have shown that one of the main reasons women don’t feel confident is down to the appearance of their skin. If you fail to cleanse your skin each morning and evening, you’ll leave it prone to all kinds of problems. The fact is the dirt and oil that builds up on our skin throughout the day and during the night, can cause acne and breakouts. As well as being able to damage the skin, causing it to be more prone to wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging. That’s why it’s so important to get into a regular skin care routine where you’re cleansing your skin each morning and evening. For best results, use products that are oil-free and made from natural ingredients. This is important, as a lot of skin care products contain harsh chemicals that can upset and damage your skin, making it more prone to problems.

Research the best treatments for your condition

No matter what skin condition or problem you’re suffering from, eating clean can help. The fact is that lots of processed foods are packed full of all sorts of additives and preservatives that can have an impact on the health of your skin. For instance, refined sugar can aid the aging process and make your skin more prone to wrinkles and age spots. It can also cause breakouts and damage your skin’s texture. By eating a clean diet made up of lean meat and fish and lots of fruits and vegetables, you can help to make your skin healthier.

If you’ve got bad skin, it can really knock your confidence. However, the good news is that in most cases, there is a treatment or lifestyle change that can help. It’s just a case of finding out what works best for you and your skin.
