Make A Statement In Spring

4/26/2017

Spring is all about floaty dresses and florals right? Wrong! This is the season to make a statement, and if the spring catwalks have taught us anything it's that we should go big and bold this year. Forget everything you thought you knew about springtime dressing and be prepared to embrace individuality this season.

Here’s how to work some of the boldest catwalk trends into your look…

Hair

If there was one trend that truly rebelled this season it was hair. We’re used to seeing beachy waves, salt-spritzed curls, and surfer vibes in spring. This year, however, the catwalks took a completely new approach.

One of the most interesting looks was the grungy take on 70’s style. Alexander Wang and Roberto Cavalli both sent their models down the runway with choppy 70’s style hair. Complete with short fringes, these girls looked edgy and fun. Recreate this rebellious look by adding some mousse to build texture. A slightly worn in (read: greasy!) look is perfect. Use a tong to get some messy waves too. Mimi Wade went even further with the 70’s look, giving her girls yellow fringes.

The wet look was also huge on the catwalks. Various shows including Christian Siriano and Julien Macdonald championed this trend. Wear your wet look hair loose and tousled, sleek and slicked back, or in a low ponytail. Use hair oil to achieve this look.

Clothes

Stripes are replacing florals as the trademark look of spring. Stripes were absolutely everywhere in the catwalk, skirts, shirts, tops, and trench coats were all adorned with stripes. Blue and white and red and white were the main color combinations that we saw. Wear your stripes right in an off the shoulder top or a waistcoat style jacket. Khaki was another surprisingly popular trend to pop up. From street style to formal wear, it graced shows like Carolina Herrera and Yeezy. Keep your looking utilitarian by wearing an oversized jacket. Alternatively, try a shirt dress in khaki for a lighter take on this look.

Swimwear is keeping us guessing this season too Although it isn’t quite summer yet we’re already seeing some swimwear styles emerge. It turns out were all fed up with traditional bikinis. Check out vilebrequin swimwear if you want to make an impact at the beach.

Beauty

Spring is the start of the warmer months, and, traditionally, we’ve been told it’s time to start paring back our makeup routine. Well, this year it seems we’re having none of it. The biggest beauty trend to emerge was a bright red bold lip. It accessorized every outfit perfectly and is the perfect pop of color we need!

A Student’s Life

Going to college can be one of the most exciting experiences of your life. Not only do you get to study your most favorite subjects, but there are also a fair few parties to go to as well! But you won't be going to any parties or having much fun at all if you don't learn to manage your money your time and your life. Read on to find out how.

Plan it
One other best things you can do to have a successful student life is to get yourself a planner. In it, you can record your deadlines, classes, and even log your spending. So you will stay organized and on top of things.

You can get a ready made planner such as the ones on offer from MAMBI 365, or you can get a blank notebook and follow the instruction to make your own bullet journal. Either way do not overlook being organized as it can make the difference between success and failure!

Look after yourself
While college is all about having lot's of fun, you also need to make sure that you are getting enough down time as well. As they say, all work makes Jack a dull boy!

That means occasionally considering an early night. As well as making sure that you have healthy nutritious meals and get some exercise on a daily basis, and no dancing in the club doesn't count!

Don't ignore things
So as a student sometimes you can be so busy with everything that is going on it can be easy to ignore the problem that you are having. These could be financial problems, problems with your course, or roommates, or even emotional difficulties that you are suffering the first time now you are away from home.

But the key here is really to try and face your issues head on. So if you are struggling for money explore the options of student aid, quick loans available on the internet, or ask your parents for extra help.

Or if you are struggling with your studies make an appointment to see your professor and ask for some guidance. After all, that is what they are paid for!
Study is important
Obviously, the primary reason that you are at college is to study so this should be pretty high on your list of priorities too. But slogging away at the books for hours on end isn't always the best way to get things done.

In fact, it's actually important to work smarter and not harder when it come to academic work. That means using clever techniques like spraying perfume on your notes and wearing the same one to the exam. Or making flash cards as you finish each module, so revision is a breeze, instead of leaving it all to the last minute.

Fun is important too
But don't forget to have some serious fun either! You can do this by enjoying social time with your friends, join a sorority, or become a member of club where people share similar interests. Remember college is a time to meet new people and broaden your horizons so get out there and enjoy it.

New To The Roads? Here’s How To Be A Safer Driver!

4/20/2017

So you’ve just passed your driving test and are finally free to go out of the roads without adult supervision, but do you know how to drive safely? A lot of young drivers presume that a few lessons and a driving test is all that’s needed to be a safe driver, but that’s not the case at all.
You can legally drive yes, but that’s not to say you have the level of experience or the skills that a lot of older drivers have, which is why your car insurance premium is so much more expensive than your parents’ premiums.

The good news is you can easily become a safer driver. it’s just a case of knowing what it takes to do that. To help you drive more safely, below are some useful tips and pieces of advice.
Picture
Practice makes perfect
The key to becoming a better driver is practice. The more practice you do on the roads, the better. What you want to do is become a confident driver, someone who is comfortable on the roads and enjoys driving. What you don’t want to do is mistake cockiness for confidence, because that’s a recipe for disaster, especially as a new driver. You want to drive as much as you can so that you improve your driving and gain the confidence that you need.

Get a little extra help
Just because you’ve passed your test, that doesn’t have to mean that’s it for your learning. Oh no, you can still continue to learn and improve your driving skills, it’s just a case of being willing to do so. There are plenty of courses that you can take, including one from a defensive driving traffic school online that can be done remotely. So it’s worth making the time to improve your driving skills, so that you can be a safer driver and feel more comfortable when out and about on the roads.

Don’t drive with a full car
The chances are that now you’ve passed your test, all your friends will want to get a lift with you. However, as a new driver, driving with a full car is not a good idea, it’s a recipe for complete disaster as the more people in your car, the more likely you are to get distracted. So for the first few months after passing your test, aim to keep it to just two passengers, and no more than that. Then, as you get more confident on the roads, you can then start driving with more people in your car.

Speed limits aren’t there to be challenged
When it comes to speed limits, remember that exceeding them isn’t the aim, the idea is to stay within them. Far too many teenage drivers think it’s cool to exceed the speed limit, but the reality is that you will either cause a crash or end up with points on your license, so ask yourself whether it’s really worth speeding. The chances are you will realize that the answer is no, it’s not worth speeding because the risks are too high.

As a new driver, it can be daunting being on the roads, especially when you are desperate to be a good driver.
Follow tips, focus and look ahead. As a new driver, you finally take over the wheel.

Adulting Like a Pro: Managing Money

4/19/2017

It can take a while before you're truly in charge of your own money and finances. Even when you start earning money for yourself as a teenager, you don't have the financial responsibilities of an adult. Going to college gives you a better look at what it's like to manage your money, but you might have financial support from various places or still be living at home. When it's time to make it on your own, you can feel a bit uncertain about how to manage your money responsibly. No one ever taught you how to file your taxes or manage a 401(K). If you feel like your financial management skills are anything but adult, it's easy to improve your knowledge and put it into practice.
Picture
Creating a Budget
The first rule of managing your finances like an adult is to have a budget and stick to it. If you don't already have one, you can start by looking at your essential expenses. You need to pay for things like rent, food, and transport. But even though they're essentials, it doesn't mean you can't spend less on them. If you want to save money, you can consider moving into a shared house, swapping your car for a bicycle, and eating out less. When you create your budget, make sure you include the money you want to save in it. Sticking to a budget requires self-control, so it's important that you learn to avoid impulse purchases.

Managing Debt
If you've been to college, it's likely you've already racked up a good amount of debt. Even if you didn't attend college, many young adults already have debts they need to pay off. How to manage your debts sensibly is one of the most important financial skills you can have. You can get in serious trouble if you don't take a sensible approach to debt. It's important to think carefully before taking on any debt. It can be easy to borrow the money you need, for example, it's simple to apply online for an installment loan. However, you should make sure you know how much money you will have to pay back. It's essential that you can afford it. Once you have taken on any debt, from loans to credit cards, you need to make sure you have a solid plan to pay it back.
Filing Your Taxes
One of the things that people most often complain about not having learned at school is how to do their taxes. It's an important thing you need to get done every year if you don't want to get in trouble. The truth is that it's not that difficult to file your taxes, especially with some tools and guides to help you. The first thing you can use is an online calculator, which will help you work out how much you need to pay in tax from your salary. You can use a tool like Paycheck City to make it easier. Learning how to do your tax return and understanding which taxes you need to pay are important. Some states have state-level incomes tax as well as federal income tax, while others don't. When you fill out your individual tax return, you'll need to provide information about your income, deductions, and credits.

Prepare for Anything
Being prepared is another essential element of managing your finances. You never know what the future might hold. If you're not financially prepared, one unexpected incident could ruin you. One way to be prepared is to have an emergency fund. Before you start saving for anything else, you should save up a financial cushion that will help you out in an emergency. Maybe your car breaks down, or you end up out of work for a few months. Having a small fund to dip into when you need it can help to prevent all sorts of problems. Once you use some of your emergency fund, make sure to top it up again.

Saving for the Future
Thinking about the future can be extremely hard as a young adult. Many can barely afford to make plans for next year, never mind ten or twenty years from now. And a lot of young adults would much rather live for now anyway, spending their money on experiences instead of investing in material possessions. But when your retirement arrives, you might wish you had started to save for it as early as you could.

Even though saving can be hard, anything is better than nothing. Your employer might offer you ways to save, like a 401(K) or another type of savings plan. There are other ways to invest your money too. Owning a home is a worthwhile investment for many, ensuring that you'll have somewhere to live and a valuable asset once you own it outright.
Picture

Reviewing Your Finances Regularly
It's important to try and take a look at your finances now and then. There are a few reasons you should do this. Firstly, you should see if there are any discrepancies in the money going out of your bank account. Sometimes, there are payments you don't recognize, and it might turn out you're paying for something you don't want. Another important reason to review your finances is so that you can see if you can save any money. There are often times when you need to revise your budget and spending so that you can save more or make your money go further.
Insurance
Paying for different types of insurance can feel painful. It just seems like you're paying for something you're not using. But if anything happens, you'll be glad to have it there. Insurance can usually help to protect you better than your own savings can. If you rent, renter's insurance will help you, or homeowner's insurance is essential if you have your own property. Your car needs to be insured, your pets, your income and, of course, yourself. Make medical insurance a priority.
With a good financial head on your shoulders, being an adult feels a little easier. It's never too early or too late to learn the skills you need.

Teen Skin In Your Twenties - What's Going Wrong?

4/18/2017

As teenagers, our bodies go through incredible changes. Signs of these changes can show up with problem skin, wayward hair, and moodiness. Most of us look forward to adulthood for the greater freedom it offers as well as the end of all those teenage hormones. Unfortunately, many women continue to suffer from blemishes and acne well into their twenties. What has gone wrong?

If your skin still resembles something from those unpleasant teenage years, you’re not alone. There are lots of reasons why this can happen. Fortunately, there are lots of ways to tackle it and enjoy good quality skin at last. There are lots of things you need to address so that you can whittle down the cause for these problems. Sometimes it’s not just one thing that you need to focus on.
Picture
Your diet could be partly to blame. A lack of water, excess sugar and food intolerances can each cause changes to your skin. Some women try a detox. Others start to eliminate the most likely candidates for their problem from the diet. There are many skin conditions that can occur if you’re not eating right, so try adjusting your diet to see if it can help.

Blocked pores can easily lead to boils, spots, and blemishes. Pores will be more open after exercise, allowing the skin to breathe. It’s important you cleanse the pores thoroughly but with gentle washes or micellar waters. Opening the pores with gentle steam from a hot shower is also a good way to help you clear them. Dirt from the air and environment could be to blame here.

Choosing the wrong skin care and cosmetic products for your skin can also lead to redness, dryness, oily patches and blemishes. Try different options for a while. For example, you can buy cosrx in Indonesia and other skin care brands on the internet. Look for products that are designed for your skin type and age group. Harsh products with alcohol or scents may aggravate upset skin.

Did you know that stress can lead to spots? This is why when you’re nervous, you’ll always find the start of a break-out! That first date, that all-important job interview, and big social events are the common culprits. They’re also the worst time for it to happen! Breathe. Control your nerves with breathing techniques and meditations. Take a walk for some fresh air, and relax as much as you can. Your skin will thank you for it.
Picture

Of course, that time of the month will always send your hormones into a frenzy, and they will cause blemishes. One or two spots and a few blackheads are common even for those with ordinarily flawless skin. Just treat it with the right cleansers, and eat for your hormones. That means choosing starchier foods and avoiding the sweet stuff for a couple of days. Flush it through with an extra cup of water a day, and it will soon pass.

If your skin complaint is particularly upsetting, it is important you seek medical advice. Medications can help in the long term, especially if you keep up good skin care routines. Feel beautiful everyday.

Surviving College: Working & Spending As A Student

4/13/2017

According to CollegeData.com, the average cost of obtaining a college degree was around $30,000 for private colleges. That’s a fairly eye-watering amount of debt that you can wrack up in exchange for an education. Of course, for most of us it’s a debt worth taking - what you learn will further your career prospects, not to mention give you an experience of a lifetime.

Still, $30,000 is a lot of money, and that’s before you even start calculating what you’re going to need to live on. For a lot of college students, the need to pay their own way becomes crippling. It’s not unusual for students to find themselves needing to work what equates to full time hours (more than 30 hours per week is generally considered full time) just to support themselves through their course.

That’s a problem.
While the idea of earning for yourself as you continue your studies doesn’t sound so bad in the abstract, in reality, it can be a nightmare. The amount of hours you have to spend working is the same way of saying the amount of time you spend not studying. Working too much can have a serious impact on the work you produce as part of your degree -

which is the whole reason you’re trying to support yourself through college!

Picture
Very quickly, the problems begin to stack up. You can find yourself not at your best for your education, but also not giving all you need for your job. Common jobs for college students tend to be of the low-paid variety that have a high staff turnover, such as waitressing or retail work. That’s mainly because that type of work is easy enough to obtain; there’s no long interview process, so you can begin when you need to. However, the downside of that means that there are always people who are willing to take your position - so if you don’t perform at work, you’re liable to be fired.

Of course, it’s not like you can follow the usual job advice and “give it your all” or “commit to it” - because you’re in college! If you’re going to give your all to anything, it should be to the course that will improve your future prospects.

So What Can You Do?
Picture
If you don’t like the above cycle of spinning between responsibilities without ever truly settling into one of them, then you do have a few options. They tend to need a little more planning, but then again, with something this important you’re not going to want to rush things. It’s good to take your time and evaluate your options, ideally starting the year before you go to college. Talking of, option one…

1) Save For College
This is a pretty basic idea, but it’s still worth repeating as a surprising number of people don’t do it. The year before you head to college can be used to earn money where you can. Even doing odd jobs for the occasional $10 or $20 could be beneficial if you tuck it away to keep the you of the future from having to exist on Ramen noodles 24/7.

2) Find Work You Can Do From Your Home
It is possible to work while you’re at college, but you need to find something that isn’t going to be time-consuming. Given that commuting is a huge demand on time for anyone, it’s worth considering your options for what you might be able to do from home (or wherever you’re living as you attend college).

If you’re not sure what sort of work might be possible, then consider…
  • Data entry work. If you’re a quick typist, then data entry work is going to be a natural fit for you. It might not be reliable all the time, but when projects are available it can really add to your bank account.
Picture
  • Search engine evaluation. Done remotely and by project, working with search and social media evaluation can give you a steady income without having to leave the comfort of your room. You can run a simple search for the kind of companies that can offer an insight - though be warned, there might not be much feedback so you’ll have to be comfortable working independently.
  • Webcam modeling. If you’re confident and have got a working webcam, then working through a company like Next Level Modeling has its advantages. This type of work is helpful for college, given that you tend to be able to choose your own hours - perfect if you’ve got an essay deadline looming over your head and need to take some time off.
  • Telesales. You’re going to need the gift of the gab and plenty of confidence, but if you want a flexible job that involves chatting with people, then telesales might just be for you.

You tend to have to do your research with companies you might consider and see if anything is a good fit for you. Of course, you don’t just have to pursue one avenue of the above - they’re all options, so you could try them out and see what works for you.

3) Be Financially Prudent
Picture
While college is about the experience, be aware that every single cent that you borrow is going to have to be paid back. Banks are generous with students, often offering low interest rates on overdrafts to encourage students to sign up. These can be useful and get you out of a tight squeeze when necessary, but they will have to be paid back. Often, the moment you graduate you’ll be moved to a different account type - and your interest rate will skyrocket. Starting your working life in a financial mess thanks to overspending at college isn’t going to be any fun.

So while you don’t have to restrict yourself to no fun at all and staying in every night, do try and remember it’s a future you’re building while at college. It’s your educational future, but it’s also the same steps to your financial future - so keep it secure.

Never Wear These On A First Date!

4/11/2017

Dating has changed a lot over the past few years and it’s much more common to know what someone looks like before you meet up. Gone are the days of blind dates, meeting at a party or just being set up through friends. Nowadays, first dates are arranged after swiping right on Tinder or winking at someone on eharmony.
Picture

Lipstick
The thing about lipstick, especially an intense red shade is that it can appear greasy, or looks like a child playing dress up if applied incorrectly so then you come across as trying too hard. Red lipstick is often a sign of female dominance, confidence, and power and while these are all fantastic traits for a woman to have you don’t want to scare someone off before they've had the chance to say hello, do you? Stick to cute lip glosses, either in a nude, soft pink or clear shades that’ll add just a hint of shine to your mouth.

Something New
While you may think a first, or even second date is the perfect time to show off the flirty new dress, cute unworn top or beautiful gypsy skirt you’d be wrong. Firstly, if the date goes badly your clothes will forever feel tainted, you’ll be annoyed that you splashed out on something new for someone who was clearly wasting your time and be put off buying clothes for dated in future. Secondly, new outfits need to be road tested! You don’t know if that slinky silk skirt has a habit of riding up, or if your brand new cute jumpsuit requires a strapless bra. There’s nothing worse than feeling your shoes pinch while walking to dinner to having to readjust your top every five minutes when trying to get to know someone new.

A Misleading Look
First dates are supposed to be fun, fresh and exciting so it’s obvious that we all put a little more effort in when looking for romance. Mind you, applying your entire makeup bag when you're normally an eyeliner, lipgloss and eyeshadow palette kind of girl is just asking for trouble. Yes. it’s great to look fantastic but should you guys click you’ll want to meet again, and that means putting twice as much effort in. It’s ok to admit that you don’t usually wear heels, false lashes or have a spray tan because it’s just not your kind of thing. Not even professional telephone clairvoyants will know 100 % if he’s going to like you, but we do know that people tend to respect someone who is true to themselves rather than someone who tries to keep up an act.

Band T-Shirts
If you’re genuinely interested in Native American art, then it’s awesome to wear a dream catcher necklace or feathered earrings. However, avoid wearing something that you know little or nothing about. Prime offenders include band t-shirts because what if they’re actually a massive fan? Unless you know the lyrics to five of their songs, not just the ones they play at the end of Pretty Little Liars episodes occasionally, the names of two albums and who was in the band leave the Nirvana T-shirt at home!

Why Confidence Is Attractive

4/10/2017

If there’s one thing that most people forget when they’re mentally checking off their appearance, is their confidence. Of course, confidence is not a physical feature in the same way lips or eyes are, but it’s definitely on the list of things you should include in your appearance. You wear your confidence with your body language and facial expressions, and if you are projecting low confidence and anxiety, everyone is going to see it.
Picture
It won’t matter how red your lipstick is, or how long your false eyelashes are, if you aren’t confident about how you look then you don’t look attractive. Someone who holds themselves in high regard, shoulders back and radiating happiness and warmth instantly bring more people to them than those who sit hunched over, eyes darting around. However, not everyone has great confidence. People can be content in who they are, but that doesn’t mean they are oozing confidence. It’s an asset that is obvious in relationships and you’ll find yourself gravitating toward and respecting those with confidence.

So, why does confidence matter so much? Can’t you just like yourself the way you are? Absolutely you can be happy within yourself, but there’s a difference between feeling happy with yourself and being confident about yourself. If you don’t have confidence in who you are, how can anyone else? Confidence can make you feel powerful, knowledgeable and you can engage those around you. There are a lot of things in life that bring people down; broken relationships, for example, can see self-esteem plummeting to the ground. You could find yourself trying to pick yourself up after a breakup and failing, because it can dent your heart and how you feel about yourself. You can find yourself wondering what’s ‘wrong’ with you, when there’s nothing wrong at all. People grow up and apart from each other and it happens all the time.
To boost your confidence after a relationship breakdown, going out with friends and aiming to love yourself will always work. You can go online with My Dating Solutions and read dating tips for when you’re ready to take the plunge and date again. The phrase ‘fake it til you make it’ can work to trick yourself into feeling more confident, which then encourages actual confidence, but it won’t work all the time. Confidence encourages positivity and confident people always err on the side of the positives in their situation.
Picture
Improving the way that you see yourself will change your outlook on the world around you. Making yourself feel confident about who you are and how you look can take time, but you have to give yourself that time and make that time happen if you ever expect to feel belief in yourself. Confidence is the best defence you can have – a strong self-esteem will always protect you from your critics. Bullies and anyone else who will try to bring you down are clearly people who have issues with their own confidence and want to bring you to their level. Be strong, be brave, don’t be afraid and stand up straight – let your confidence shine through!

Get Ahead on Planning for College

It’s so easy for the whole process of preparing and getting to college to overwhelm you. After all, you need to work out how to make yourself more appealing to college admissions officers, study and get through all those standardized tests – it really isn’t easy! The good news is, wherever you are in your high school career, there are several things you can do get ahead on planning for college, make yourself a more attractive option when applying to college, and even have some fun along the way!

Here are some neat tips to help you plan for college without too much stress:

Get Involved in Activities
Preparing yourself for college is not all about hard work and studying. It can also be fun! Whether you love painting, playing football or making music, get involved in extracurricular activities, and not only will you get have a blast, but you’ll have something great to put on your college application too.

Work Hard
Of course, there’s no way that you’re going to get into your college of choice if you don’t do the hard work now. You will need to study hard if you want to succeed. So, knuckle down, do the work, and you will reap the rewards.

Challenge Yourself
College admissions officers don’t just look at your grades; they also like to see how tough the courses you took were. Which means, if you want to plan ahead to get into a great college it is never a bad idea to take a couple of advanced courses. You can even take online courses for credit, and colleges will look more favorably on you if you do so because it shows you are serious about study and able to make the grade when studying at a higher level.

Get a Tutor
Picture
If there’s that one subject you struggle with, don’t be too proud to admit you need help and look for a tutor. Many high schools can hook you up with a peer tutor, so it doesn’t have to cost you anything if you want to get the help you need to improve your grades.

Read for Pleasure
It might feel like you already have enough on your plate without adding more to it, but reading can actually be a very relaxing, pleasurable experience. Whether you read fiction or nonfiction, you will learn more about the world and store more useful facts in your brain than your schoolmates who don’t read, and this can and will pay off when it comes to taking tests.

Do Your Research
It’s never too early to start researching colleges and their admissions processes. If you can find someone who has already applied to your colleges of choice, pick their brains to find out how they got in; talk to your teachers and counsellors about what you can do to make your application stand out in a good way and don’t stop until you’re confident you can do what needs to be done.
If you work hard and take the steps above, there is no reason why you won’t be able to make it to college without all of the stress and distress that so many college-bound kids face. Good luck!

Give your skin a good scrub
To remove any dead or dry areas of skin, the first step to feeling beach body confident is to give your skin a good scrub. You could use a body scrub that you already have, or you could treat yourself to a coffee scrub. The great thing about coffee scrubs is that they not only brighten up the skin, but they also help to reduce the visibility of cellulite. So if you are worried about any of your wobbly bits, you might find that a gentle coffee scrub is the answer. You could either buy one or you could opt to go DIY and make your own scrub - it’s much easier than you would think to do, and it works out much cheaper too.

Apply fake tan
Fake tan is a great way to add a little contouring to your body, which is why it’s so useful for boosting your confidence. If you don’t usually use fake tan, you may be hesitant to apply it. However, if it will give you the confidence boost that you need when in your swimsuit, it’s worth it. You could opt to apply it yourself, or you could go for a spray tan, it depends on what you would feel more comfortable with. Just make sure that whatever fake tan you use, it’s not too dark for you, else you might end up looking like you've been tangoed!

Give your skin the hydration it needs
To ensure that you look as good as possible when on the beach, make sure to give your skin the hydration it needs with a good moisturizer. Look for a moisturizer that offers you the results that you want, such as a toning moisturizer or a breast enhancement cream. There are various body creams to choose from, all of which do different things, which is why it’s important to choose the one that you use carefully. Not sure which to moisturizer to go for? Spend some time reading reviews of the creams that you are considering using and make a decision based on the best reviews.

Find the perfect swimwear
For a figure that you are happy to flaunt, the perfect swimwear is a must. If you are unsure what you look best in, then it’s a good idea to do some shopping. Try on some different types of swimwear, from bikinis to full swimming costumes, and see what looks best on you and what you feel the most confident and comfortable in. If you have swimwear that you feel comfortable in, you are going to feel happier and more content in your appearance. So it’s worth taking the time to find that perfect piece of swimwear that hugs your curves in all the right places.

To be more beach body confident, take note of the tips and advice above.

A Pamper Evening Once a Week
A pamper evening allows you to relax, while treating your hair, skin and nails. It allows you to stay feeling fresh and looking your best, while unwinding from the stresses of the day. While you should be sticking to a basic skincare routine every day, once a week you could apply some extra products. A serum or oil after a face mask will leave your skin feeling baby soft. Either purchase one or you could whip up one yourself, sites like rd.com have recipes for DIY masks. You could also apply a hydrating hair mask to your hair, slather your body in a rich body butter and paint your nails. You’ll feel far more put together afterwards and ready for the week ahead. Make time to luxuriate in a hot bath, bonus points for bath bombs, salts or oils to make it even more enjoyable.

A New Piece of Makeup
In a bit of a rut with your style? Maybe you wear the same products day in, day out and don’t experiment much with your look. Treating yourself to a new lipstick, mascara or eyeshadow can help you to switch things up and feel pretty. Why not go for something a bit more high end to really treat yourself? Makeup can be expensive but it does last for a long time so it’s worth the investment if you’ll wear it. Even wearing a slightly different shade of lipstick or your eye makeup in a different way can give you a big boost of confidence- it doesn’t need to be dramatic or way out of your comfort zone.

The Handbag Habit

Most women carry a handbag at all times. We’ve all seen that famous sketch in Mary Poppins where the items in her bag are never ending. The reality isn’t so different. Most of us have a wealth of things stashed away, many of which we never need. But, we like to be prepared. To men, and women who never got into the handbag habit, this behavior seems alien. So, we’re going to look into what most women carry, and why they do it. The results may well surprise you.

Choosing the right bag is crucial. A woman’s bag is, in many ways, their most important object. It’s undoubtedly the main feature of their wardrobe. When you’re used to carrying a bag each day, the idea of not having one seems insane. So, we take a lot of time over our handbag choices. Some prefer larger bags, like those found at Welden, while others prefer a smaller option. Convenience aside, we all search for a bag that looks fantastic. Neutral colors are the safest bet because they match most outfits. There’s a reason most of the bags you see are either black, white, or beige! So, the perfect bag is a tall order, and can take a while to find. Until the perfect match is made, we have to struggle with changing our bag depending on our needs for that day. It’s no easy task!

So, what do we carry in our bags, anyway? Men and bagless women will never understand what we need. But, for those of us in the habit, it makes perfect sense that we should take along everything but the kitchen sink. Okay, not quite. But, we manage to fit a lot in there! Surprisingly, we learn what to pack from our mothers. If your mom had a bag with everything you could dream, you’re more likely to have the same. Of course, we all have standard items - money, keys and phones. But, many of us go beyond that. A lot of us also pack menstrual pads, painkillers, and tissues. It’s possible that this is our maternal instinct kicking in. We may not need everything we take, but someone else might. Those people who look at us funny for lugging a massive bag around with us could well be the ones we save! And, once you’ve helped someone, everyone else will know they can come to you when they need to. So, the bag thing is a self-perpetuating cycle. It may have started because that’s what your mom did. Soon, though, you're carrying things because people expect you to.

But, why don’t men carry bags? Some men may opt for rucksacks, but few carry them with such determination as women do their handbags. As stated above, the maternal instinct comes into play here. But, there’s also a much simpler reason. Women’s clothes are tighter, and they don’t have as much pocket space. Plus, bulging pockets don’t do anything for a lady’s figure!
