Photographer Productivity: How You Can Make the Most of Your Time

3/12/2020

Being a photographer can be time-consuming. There's a lot for you to do, but you might feel at times that there are only so many hours in a day that you can dedicate to your work. And this can be frustrating to someone who wants to maximize their income in this profession. Since gaining more time is out of the question, the only thing that you can do is make the most of it.

You can start becoming more productive by following these helpful suggestions:

Leave Some Jobs for Others
When you're a photographer, especially one who's working mostly on your own, you tend to go and do everything. Unfortunately, some tasks, such as putting the finishing touches on your photos or promoting yourself on social media, are going to eat up a lot of your time. Thankfully, there are photo-editing companies for photographers whom you can contact for help. If editing is one of the main activities that take up most of your time, you can opt to let them work on it regularly and focus on your other tasks.

Create a Schedule and Stick to It
One of the reasons photographers fail to become productive is that they let their different activities dictate them instead of taking control. For example, a meeting with a client can take you longer than expected simply because you didn't set boundaries time-wise. It's your business, so you have to take charge of what you're going to do. Set a schedule for everything, and be prepared to say no to an activity that will disrupt it or negotiate for a different time for it.
Think Batches
You can go faster when you finish all instances of a specific task in succession. For example, when you're going to edit your photos, you can do it for all clients that need them in one go. Even with your schedule, you can also apply the batch concept. For example, you can dedicate a particular day for meetings with clients, so you can book them all on that specific day and leave the other days and hours for your other tasks.

Get Rid of What You Don't Need
Of course, there will be things that will come to distract you. If you want to become productive, you have to get rid of them or at least move them to a time when you're not supposed to work. For example, if there are non-work matters such as with family and friends that aren't urgent, then you can attend to them later in the day. Just nicely let the people involved know that you need to focus.
Being productive will mean that you can do more and earn more with your business. Take note that it's not about you driving yourself to the ground. Rather, it's about setting everything up so that you can have time for both work and yourself. You still do need to rest so that you can do your best when you work the next day.

One of the most difficult things about buying glasses online is knowing whether or not you're buying from somewhere that is both high-quality and reputable, especially when it comes to the designer or high street brands. With various different fakes and scams circulating the internet, you need to ensure you're buying glasses that are going to last. Luckily, there are lots of ways to ensure you're doing exactly that. From reading customer reviews to buying from online stores you can trust, the more careful you are being the better.

With that in mind, here are some top tips for buying glasses online:

Purchase From Well-Known Designer Brands
One of the best things you can do when it comes to buying glasses online is to ensure you’re purchasing from designer brands. Not only does this mean you know exactly what you’re getting but it also means that you’re buying from a company that people know and trust. It takes the fear of receiving low-quality glasses away. If you are buying designer glasses, you need to be sure you’re not purchasing something that is fake. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Make Sure You're Checking Reviews
Another important thing to consider when it comes to buying glasses online is whether or not you’re checking the reviews for the site you’re buying off. If possible, try to look at reviews on external sites. Although some companies will allow people to post bad reviews on their own sites, most people will remove any negative feedback they receive in order to withstand their good image. For a guide to seeing red flags when purchasing online, you can visit this site here.

Ensure You Know Your Perscription
When buying glasses online you need to ensure you know your prescription, as you’ll have to enter the details when you’re making your purchase. Although it can be tricky to understand, there will be lots of guides online to help make sure you’re giving them the right details. For a guide to understanding your glasses prescription, you can visit this site here.

Consider A Service That Allows You To Try Before You Buy
If you’re unsure about whether or not a certain style of glasses is going to suit you, you may want to consider trying a service that allows you to try before you buy. This means that several different sets of frames will be sent to you in order for you to try on, allowing you to make a decision on which you’d prefer before you send them back. From there, you can make your order.

Buy A Shape You Know Suits You
If you don’t want to use a try before you buy service, it might be best to choose a frame shape that you already know suits you. A lot of great sites offer the option to upload a photo of you and try them on.
Are you thinking of buying your next pair of glasses online? What do you need to do to ensure you're buying from someone reputable? Did we miss anything? Let us know your thoughts and ideas in the comments section below.

Good luck on your purchase!

If you are someone who is concerned with ensuring that your mental health is as strong and resilient as possible, then you need to explore all potential avenues that might be important in making sure of that. One of the main things that you want to think about here is making sure that your physical health is being looked after, as that is going to be one of the main things that is going to affect your mental health.

In this article, we are going to look at this relationship in some detail, so you can understand better what you can do with regard to your
physical and mental health.

Heart Health
One of the major things that affects mental health is your heart health, so you need to make sure that you are doing whatever you can to look after your heart. That is a simple matter, mostly: making sure that you are getting a good amount of exercise, reducing your alcohol and caffeine consumption, and avoiding smoking are all good things to do there, as well as drinking more water and getting more sleep. The more that you are taking care of your heart, the more that you will be taking care of your mind.

Holistic Care
It’s important to try and care for yourself in a top-down, all-inclusive kind of way if you want to take care of your physical and mental health. There are many approaches to take which could help you here, but one which is particularly popular at the moment is known as macrobiotics. This is essentially making big changes in nutrition and exercise and so on, as a means of improving your overall health. If you do this, you are going to find that you are having a much better time of it regarding all aspects of your health, and that is something that you can really be happy for.

Respiratory Problems
As well as the heart being an important one to look out for, so are any respiratory problems, as these are related to a number of mental illnesses and diseases which you will want to keep at bay as much as possible. You can help do this by exercising, and by being sure to take care of your lungs - so that means, again, no smoking of anything whatsoever. If you can do that, you are going to find that it is much easier to keep your physical and mental health strong.

Mind Care
Of course, it works both ways, so taking care of your mind is also going to help improve your overall physical health too. If you are keen to try and take better care of your mind, there are many ways to do so. You can work on all the things above, or you can meditate, or get more sleep, or generally try to engage with your thoughts in a more constructive and positive manner. All of this is going to make a difference to how you feel.

Making A Proposal Night Extremely Personal

3/5/2020

You’re finally at the point where you will ask her the question. More than likely, you both know that this day is coming. If you’ve both gotten this far, you can kind of tell that the proposal is just around the corner. But far too many couples don't consider themselves as a unique couple. We try to chase the standards that society has set for us, instead of doing what we feel is right for us. If you are nodding your head at this point, you should do everything you can to make your proposal night extremely unique. You shouldn’t have one single thing about it, feel like it's run of the mill or unimaginative.
Don’t ‘choose’ a ring
Every other romantic movie, you see the guy go out to a jewelry store and pick out a ring. As much as the act is sweet, it's not really personal. You’re just trying to find a ring that comes as close as possible to the type of person your girlfriend is. Why not go all out and nail it down completely? Speak with a ring concierge that will run you through the process of creating a customized engagement ring. The first step is easy, as the introductory call is without strings attached. You’ll speak directly with them, no middlemen involved, and you’ll speak about the style, diamond or gemstone and the cut you want. Then you’ll move onto step two, whereby you will talk about budget, preferences and pick your diamond. Finally, your diamond will be cut and your ring will be crafted to your exact specifications.
Make it private
If you really want to make this about you two, don’t go to a restaurant to propose. Don’t go anywhere in public actually, because someone is bound to see and you’ll feel as if your moment is ruined by the unintended audience. Pick a place where it's just you two. This could be on a hill in the countryside, it could be somewhere in a forest, it could be on top of a building or even at your home. Pick a place to propose where nobody is watching or listening. It's just the two of you having an extremely private moment together.

Don’t tell anyone...yet
Why is it that whenever a couple gets engaged, the whole world has to know right away? You’ve only just put the engagement ring on, this is your moment together. Telling your friends and family can wait, revel in your moment a little longer. In fact, how about a week? Seven whole days. That’s not a lot really. It can be your little secret. For many people getting engaged at the moment when you both decide, it's you two against the world. If you keep things under wraps for a little while, it's a secret that only you two share. Only you two know what your future is going to be like, no one else needs to know; yet.

Do not make a carbon copy engagement experience if you can help it. Don’t choose a ring, create one yourself. Pick a spot to propose where nobody else can watch.
