How To Plan The Perfect Proposal

If you are planning an amazing proposal, you’ll need to get prepared properly.

It is going to be a big moment in both yours and your partner’s lives, so you’ll want to do it right. You might choose to pop the question on your partner’s birthday, Valentine’s Day, or any random day of the year! Whenever you are going to do it, here is a guide to a number of steps to take when making your plans.
Consider who should be there
Some people like their engagement to be just them and their partner. Others like to it be a group of people. Increasingly, people like to do it in front of complete strangers! Think carefully what you think your partner would appreciate the most. If you think they’d love to celebrate the moment with their friends and family, plan a party for straight afterwards! You’ll both feel absolutely elated, so it’s sure to be a great night.

Invest in a good quality ring
This means no more costume jewellery that stains your partners fingers green! Instead, invest in a truly classic piece of jewellery. An engagement ring should be seen as an investment. And, like any investment, you need to do ample research in advance. Don’t let yourself get misled by biased reviews of companies and their products. Instead, look for impartial ones, like this hearts on fire review from Your Diamond Guru. You’ll find other impartial reviews across the rest of this site too, along with handy tips and hints regarding your purchase.
Hire a photographer
This is a great option if you are planning a proposal somewhere in public. If you are going to in a restaurant, for example, you can plan for a photographer to be sat on the table across from you. They could surreptitiously take photographs in the moments before. Then, stand up to take proper pictures once your other half has clicked what is happening. These photographs will capture memories to last a lifetime. Otherwise, make sure you have a selfie stick to hand for a ‘We got engaged!’ photo afterwards.

Plan what you’re going to say
The last thing you want is to get caught short and tongue-tied when the big moment arrives. Take some time to think about what it is that you want to say. You can look online for inspiration, or ask your friends. There is nothing wrong with doing either of those things. Begin by making a brainstorm of all the things you want to say. Then start writing it up as full sentences. Practice a few times in front of the mirror and you’ll start to feel more confident. That being said, allow for improvisation when the moment comes. If something comes into your heart, say it! Your partner is sure to appreciate candid words; they’re often the truest.

Don’t stress too much
There is nothing wrong with wanting to get everything perfect, but don’t stress yourself out over it. Both people in the relationship deserve to enjoy the proposal. Take a deep breath! It’s going to be okay.

How To Style Up An Everyday Outfit

2/27/2016

Some of us can get in a bit of a style rut. Where we wear the same jeans and shirt combination over and over. Or whatever you outfit of choice may be. Of course, there is nothing wrong with this and no doubt you look great, but there are few easy things you can do to style up an everyday look.

Whether it’s for school, college or work anyone of these could work for you.

Picture
Painted nails
Nails can make a difference to any outfit without you even thinking it could. A brightly coloured nail colour in spring or summer. A more subtle look in winter or fall. Some people are more adventurous than others when it comes to nails but these days anything goes. You could have extensions or some
artistic nail art. You might want to stick with block colours or have a white french tip. The options are endless but can add a more finished element to your everyday look.

Jewelry
Jewelry can have a big effect on an outfit and the options are endless. There are many trends formulating at the moment. For example, stacking rings together or wearing them in different ways. Layering necklaces and bracelets. Some people opt for the same Jewelry such as special rings, earrings or a simple necklace. Others may like to be more adventurous and incorporate bright colours and beads. Whatever you decided to do I don't think you can go wrong with some distinctive elf925 silver jewelry that would go with any look.

However you choose to wear your jewelry don’t forget it. It can transform an outfit. Adding more jewelry can take your day look to an evening look in a matter of minutes. For example,
adding more dramatic earrings or necklaces.
Accessories
We have covered things like Jewelry, but there is so much more to accessories that can change up your look. Hats can make a huge difference. A winter bobble hat can make daywear look cosier. A summer hat can give a more pretty feel. Even a trilby hat or something similar can make a straightforward outfit look edgier.
Picture
It doesn’t just stop with hats either. You could think about wearing scarfs. Thicker ones in the winter months, and a drapey floral scarf for a fresh spring look. Even thinking about the bag you use could change an outfit. For example, a small black clutch might make your day look more appropriate for an evening party.

Makeup
Doing something a little different to your everyday makeup could make your outfit look totally different. Adding a bold lip colour, or a winged eyeliner instead of the more natural finish you tend to go for. Maybe you wear bold makeup every day and will see a difference to your overall look by toning down and go for more neutral shades. Make-up allows you to be creative and change things up. Be adventurous and try new things.

So there you have it. Even just changing one of the things on the above list could transform your everyday look.

Remember beauty and fashion are all about trying new things to find an individual style that works for you.

Beauty Essential For Special Occasions

You never know when a special occasion could be on the horizon. It could be a last minute night out or surprise engagement, for all you know! If you’re in a relationship that is… it would be pretty weird otherwise. It’s always wise to have a new dress to hand, and a reliable pair of heels. But what about the all-important hair and makeup?

Ensure you always have the following six items to hand, and you’ll be prepared for anything.

A neutral-coloured fascinator
For a last-minute wedding or invitation to the race, you’re going to need a great fascinator. Coloured ones are gorgeous, but for one to keep in storage, go for a neutral colour. Think white, cream or grey. A shade like this will go with any outfit, and will suit your hair no matter what you chose to do with it. Ensure it’s a good quality product, though. You don’t want to have it snapping off during the vows or the first race.

Reliable sunscreen
For this point, we’re classing any day that the sun comes out as a special occasion. After all, it is! Sunscreen is a beauty essential for both now and the future. Sunburned red skin is not attractive on anybody. Plus, the dangers you’re potentially facing when you don’t wear sun protection are huge. At the very least, wear a foundation that has an SPF in it. Plus, keep a couple of bottles of varying factors tucked away in a drawer. Just incase any invitations for St. Tropez mini-break come your way, you know...

A set of hair extensions
Long and luscious hair takes years to grow. Even once you’ve got it super long, it is then a massive hassle to keep it clean and it great condition. That’s why hair extensions are such a God-send. Clip-in hair extensions speed up the process and allow you to put them in and take them out at home. Way easier!
Some pots of glitter
Who doesn’t love a bit of glitter? Keep a few pots of glitter in your special occasion box and you will not regret it. You can highlight your cheekbones with us, using a swipe of Vaseline as a glue. Or make a stunning eyeshadow or lipstick that will make a real talking point!

A packet of false eyelashes
False eyelashes add instant drama to any look. There are so many different styles and lengths out there these days. Go thin and long for a beautiful daytime look. Or, if you’re stepping out after dark, go thick and dark. Finish with lashings of black mascara and pair with a nude lip. Don’t forget to take some glue with you for touch ups.

The phone number of a great MUA
If you just don’t have the time or the tools to make a great look yourself, be sure to keep the contact details of a great makeup artist close at hand. You never know when you might need them.

2/22/2016

When it comes to buying clothes, trudging into the nearest town centre is no longer the only option. Now, all the clothes in the world are available at our fingertips online. This is great news for those of us who want to browse and shop online. But it also means that the rules have changed. However, there are ways to still get the best items and deals without having to speak to anyone in person. Read on to find out more...

Remember your size might be different

Never really on being the exact same size as you usually are when buying online. This is especially true for online stores that stock lots of different brands of clothes. If you look closely, however, many of these sites will have more in-depth size guides.
One such way to solve this issue once and for all is to do the following! Grab a tape measure and find out your different sizes. Look at bust, hips, waist and leg length especially. Write them all down and stick them up wherever you usually do your online shopping. That way, you’ll have a quick go-to reference for finding your perfect size in future!

Save money wherever you can

Find unlimited delivery packages

Why pay full price for an item if you can get it for cheaper? After all, saving money gives you more to spend on other things. Before you make any purchases, do a quick check online to see if there are any current money off deals or discounts. Gopherdeals.co.uk is one such place you can do this. Kind folk also sometimes share great deals on social media accounts, like Twitter. Just search the name of the company you’re buying from, and add the word ‘discount’ or ‘deal’.
Two such companies to offer special bulk deals on deliveries are ASOS and Amazon. At ASOS.com, for £9.95 a year, you can have as many next day deliveries as you can afford. And, if you sign up for www.amazon.co.uk/gp/prime, this also provides you with one year’s worth of unlimited deliveries. These deliveries are sent within one day also.
In these cases, spending to begin with could save you lots of money in the long run. This is especially true if you have a big event coming up that you know you will need lots of different items for. This might be a wedding or a big birthday party. Knowing that you don’t have to pay for delivery for the little things will help you relax.

Look for free returns

As online shopping grows in popularity, the companies get more competitive. One way they do this is by charging for deliveries, but taking returns for free. Where you can, order from companies who do free returns. This gives you the freedom to buy whatever you like and then try it on at home. Plus, trying on clothes at home is so much better. You’ve got all your shoes and accessories to hand to see how the item really looks. You can also use your own mirror, which you know you can trust!

We can all get a little bored from time to time. Whether it’s the clothes we’re wearing or the same old hairstyle we’ve had for years, these quick tips will help you to update your look.

Try something new and you might just love it!

Change Your Hair Colour
Changing your hair colour is a really quick way to update your look. You don’t even need to do it a totally different shade, if you don’t want to. You can simply go up a few shades lighter or down a few shades and see what you think. There are a ton of trends you can try too if you’re brave enough, like the grown out root trend! If you don’t want to commit to a hair colour change, you can buy some pretty good wigs for a decent price, so you can change your look as you please!
Have a New Style
Why not try a new hairstyle if you always have the same thing? You could have a few inches chopped off, or even a fringe put in. Hair always grows back, so don’t be scared to make a change. You might just love it!
Wear Something Different
Something I like to do when shopping, is try something on that I probably wouldn’t buy off the hanger. I’m usually pleasantly surprised at how something looks on me. If not, at least I tried it! I like to look at my wardrobe and think about what could be missing. A certain colour? A certain pattern? I try to keep variety in my wardrobe this way!

From detailed couture gowns, to the perfect smokey eye, it’s a chance to gain some style inspiration. Plus it's fun to see how we can incorporate certain looks for ourselves.

The Dress

Picture

This is the starting point of your transformation. Everything revolves around the dress, so be sure to pick wisely. Know your shape and what suits you best. If you want the focus to be on your back, accentuate your curves by choosing a backless dress. If you’re planning to show off some skin, make sure the back is the focal point by keeping other areas classy and covered up.

The Hair

How you wear your hair is extremely important, as it frames the face and polishes your overall look. When picking the right hairstyle, make sure to base it around the dress.  So if you’re wearing a very detailed, or patterned number, with lots of accessories, then an elegant up do will really make your dress stand out. especially when going for a strapless, sweetheart neckline. In contrast, if the dress is very simple, you might want to go for beachy waves, or lots of volume to add volume and character to your look. If you’re going to use extensions for extra volume and length, human hair extensions are the best option to go for. It will give you a more glamourous, natural looking sheen.

plucked and lined to give structure to your face and really open up your eyes. White eyeliner also gives you that doe eyed look, and can be worn under the eye, or as a top liner, to give the appearance of bigger eyes.
Just like when picking the right hair-style, your makeup should also be based around your gown. If your dress is full of colour and detail and really makes a statement, keep your makeup looking natural, to avoid any clashing. For a rosy glow, try creme blushes and a lip gloss in a soft shade that will enhance the natural colour of your lips. Make sure your eyebrows are

Accessorizing

Never underestimate the importance of a good accessory! It’s the icing on the cake and what really pulls your whole look together.

Remember that accessorizing means enhancing, rather than distracting people from your outfit. If you’re going for minimal elegance, keep your accessorizing understated, such as a silver tone clutch or drop earrings to enhance an up do. Liven up a classic monochrome look with a clutch with plenty of embellishments. A collar necklace will give your look some dimension.

It's all about keeping a balance and having fun while you experiment the right style for you!

Foolproof Ways To Boost Your Employability

2/18/2016

Getting a job is tough, and standing out amongst the crowd can be even tougher. Luckily, one sure-fire way to improve your chances is by having special skills that others might not. Even if you don’t need a new job right now, these skills could take a while to develop. So, get started and you’ll be investing in your future. From volunteering to learning a new language. From being able to offer a second language to being able to administer first aid.

Read on for a handful of ways to boost your employability.

Get help with your CV
You might be the best person for a job for miles around, but what if your writing skills are letting you down? Having a poor CV doesn’t mean you are a bad candidate, but it can put employers off. This is especially true for jobs like teaching or admin. Remember, there is no shame in asking for help. There are lots of companies out there who can aid you either in person or online. They can look at what you are already putting out there and suggest improvements. Get them to proofread the content as well. This can also be valuable as even the smallest typo could make the difference.

Become a volunteer
There are tonnes of options out there for volunteering. Perhaps you could do a few hours on the weekend at a charity shop? Or, a couple of hours a week at an animal shelter? If you can show a would-be employer than you don’t spend your evenings and weekends slumped on the sofa, they are sure to be impressed.

Learn a new language
Learning another language is a very valuable asset for anybody, especially job-hunters. It could boost your chances of a promotion at your company, or open up

a whole new world of career options. Or, go in for the long-game. Is there a company you would love to work for one day in the future? If so, find out if they have strong business relations abroad or offices in another country. If they are big in South America, for example, study Spanish. By getting to at least a basic level, you can mention that you are already in the process of gaining this skill. Not only does this make you more employable, but it also proves that you are thinking long-term. Companies don’t like to hire staff who will leave after a short time. If for some reason it doesn’t work out with the company you had in mind, that is okay. You still learned a very valuable skill that somewhere else will greatly respect and be impressed by further down the line.

Get a First Aid Qualification
It is compulsory for all companies to have at least one person in the office who is trained in first aid. If you go up for a job, be sure to mention this. If it’s a toss up between you and one other candidate at the end, this could be the thing that clinches the deal!

Cool Ways To Completely Alter Your Look

2/15/2016

Have you ever wished that you looked completely different? One day you just caught a glimpse of your reflection in the mirror and wished that you could change everything about yourself. I’ll let you in on a little secret. We all have those days. We all wake up one morning and wish we could change everything about our looks. Some of us can barely stare at our reflection for a minute without starting to pick out all the imperfections and annoyances. But is there a way to change your looks so drastically that you feel like a completely new person?

Of course there is and before you get any wrong ideas, I’m not talking about surgery.

Changing Your Eye Colour

Do you remember when Twilight came out and everyone wished they could change their eye colour like a vampire. How awesome would that be? Actually, an interesting fact is that some people’s eyes do change colour. I know we’ve all met girls who claim their eyes change depending on the light and thought they were exaggerating. But it’s true. Due to a certain pigment their irises really do alter based on the light. If you weren’t so lucky with genetics there is another way you can do this. You can buy coloured contacts. I have to admit I’m
Picture
Flickr Pic
particularly fond of this idea. You might have noticed my eyes are a grey blue and I’ve always wished they were a little brighter. Well with coloured contact lenses they can be.

Altering Your Hairstyle

We’ve all met someone we know and taken a step back because we didn’t recognise them at first. It’s usually because they’ve changed their hairstyle. Changing your hairstyle is one of the easiest ways a girl can completely alter her look. Guys aren’t so lucky but with girls, it can have a huge impact. I was recently watching the second part of PLL Season 6 and all the main girls have changed
their hairstyle due to the time jump. Some of them I barely recognised and this just goes to show changing your hair can completely alter the way you look. Remember, if you’re not happy with the new style, you can just try again until you are.

Throw Out Your Wardrobe

Picture
Image
A drastic step I’ll admit but one that I do on occasion wish I had the courage to try. Throw out all the clothes you own and start from scratch. Or, perhaps more sensibly, sell some of the most precious expensive clothes online. Then buy a whole new wardrobe and have some fun creating a brand new clothing style. At the very least this is a brilliant excuse to go on a massive shopping trip. You know you want to!

Stop Wearing Makeup

Finally, you could just stop wearing makeup. Depending on the amount of makeup you wear it could be changing the way you look completely. It takes a few weeks of not wearing make up for your skin to adjust. But after that you’ll get the natural colour back and you will look stunning, I promise you. It takes a lot of courage and confidence to try this but you won’t regret it if you do. Makeup actually damages your skin. If you stop using it, you’ll find your natural

beauty once more. You will look like a completely different person. Don’t believe me? Well then just take a look at these pictures of Taylor Swift, makeup free.
Using one of these tips I’m sure you’ll be amazed at how different you can look.

Picture

In your thirties, you’ll start to notice fine lines and wrinkles appearing, as well as the fact that your complexion isn’t as smooth as it used to be. The reason that both of these problems occur is because the body can’t produce collagen or elastin as quickly. This leads to fine lines, sagging skin and a complexion that is no longer as soft and smooth.
To reduce the appearance of fine lines, it’s crucial that you moisturize twice a day with a rich face cream. Ideally, this should be a cream that contains collagen and elastin for helping to smooth out your skin, prevent sagging and fill lines.

Picture

In your forties, you’ll notice that wrinkles appear deeper and more set, as well as the fact that your skin now has the odd age spot or two. Many people dread their forties simply because of how different their face will look. However, it’s important to remember that aging is just another part of life. Plus, with the right products, you can easily keep the signs of aging at bay, so there’s no need to stress.
To help reduce the appearance of age spots, it’s a good idea to invest in a peptide containing face cream. Peptide creams are great for helping to boost how youthful your skin looks as they increase collagen production. You can achieve more youthful skin with anti wrinkle cream, so it’s also worth investing in a good-quality pot of this.

As well as continuing to use anti-aging creams, in your fifties, it’s important to focus on keeping your skin hydrated. Due to the hormonal changes that your body will go through, you’ll find that your skin is much drier. You can counteract this by using face creams with glycolic acid in them. This is a substance that’s a great skin hydrator, so is perfect for applying to dry, dull skin.
There you have it, everything that you need to know about skin care from your twenties to your fifties. Take the tips and advice above on board, and you can ensure that your skin stays looking fabulous no matter what your age.

Valentine's Day Date Ideas She Will Adore

2/5/2016

Valentine’s day is considered the most romantic day of the year and it’s only just over a week away. Happy couples will soon start to buy and order cards and gifts that show their partner how much they care about them. This is traditionally followed by a romantic meal in a restaurant surrounded by other couples. While there is nothing wrong with planning this kind of date for your wife or girlfriend, why not make it even more personal and special.

To help you make this Valentine’s day one to remember, use these ideas to inspire you.

Plan a spa day at home
Your special lady deserves to be pampered. So why not create a home spa so you can spend your Valentine’s day relaxing. Buy candles and make sure your home is spotless to create that spa-like feel. Create a hamper that is full of body lotions, face masks and hair products that you can both use throughout the light. Also, get slippers and robes for you both to slip into for maximum comfort. Practise your massage technique beforehand and give her a well-deserved massage on her back, neck or feet. She can then return the favour and give you a massage in return. Turn your phones off and just enjoy being in one another's company.

Go on a road trip
Road trips are a brilliant choice for a Valentine’s day to remember because they feel more like a mini holiday. This is often a better option if you have been together for a long time and know each other inside out. It might be a little unnerving for your partner if you haven’t known each other very long and could scare her off. You could plan a road trip that allows you both to visit multiple locations or one location in particular. Think about places she may have mentioned in the past that she has always wanted to visit, such as Blackpool or London for instance. You can then research things to do in Blackpool or anywhere else she might like to visit to find activities you would both enjoy. To give it an extra special touch, make some clues for her to open that will hint at where you are travelling to. Also, make sure she packs the right kind of shoes and clothing to suit the activities you have planned.

Get crafty
If your lady loves getting crafty, then why not plan a night of arts and crafts. You could make a cute album together that you can put all your favourite photographs in. Or you could customise a piece of one another’s clothing. While you may end up with some hilarious results, it will be fun getting creative together. You may even realise how enjoyable crafts can be and your wife or girlfriend may be able to teach you a few new skills. Use Pinterest to find some fun and easy craft ideas you could try. Also, buy all the materials you need and some snacks you can enjoy as you make.
These Valentine’s day date ideas are bound to be a success. There’s still time to plan something spectacular so get organised and start planning today.
