With such busy lives it can be hard to stand back and slow things down from time to time. We are often on the go from the moment we wake until we go to sleep and there seems to be no real thinking space. Which is what we want to help you to address today as we share with you 3 things to do for you. Press pause for an hour or two and think these ideas over and then take the time to do something for yourself this month. Get out and explore When was the last time that you explored somewhere new? Exploring new places can change your perspective, inject new ideas and simply make you happy. You might just explore some new places within your own neighborhood that you keep meaning to try. Perhaps a new restaurant, store or forest trail. Or maybe you will try a day trip to somewhere that you have been wanting to visit for some time now. You might go further afield, go bigger. You could book yourself a minibreak or vacation somewhere far flung. It will be something to look forward to as well as something to enjoy whilst you are there. Book a day off for yourself Book a day off for yourself, a day off from absolutely everything. When we book days off it is often with the intention of getting something done. We might have chores to get done around the house, shopping trips to go on or it is a time for catching up with people. Whilst these things all have their place, a ‘do-nothing day’ is an important game changer for you. This is a day where your day is entirely your own, where no chores and tasks will be on your to-do list, a day where there is no to-do list. You might lounge in bed all day, you might read books from dawn until dusk, you might have a movie marathon or perhaps you will treat yourself to lunch at your favorite restaurant. It is a day for you to indulge, unwind and recharge. Seek to make positive changes Have you been dissatisfied for some time? In your health, your career, your home or perhaps a toxic relationship? Maybe now is the time to seek to make some positive changes. You might get proactive and book yourself in on a course or perhaps join a new fitness class. You might want to dig out the recipe books and get back to cooking fresh food daily and eating more healthily. Maybe it is your home that is frustrating you, in which case look into decorating a room or two, adding new accessories or just giving it a good declutter. We know that sometimes it isn’t quite as simple as focusing in on your health and fitness and home. If you need to make more serious changes, whether you need the support of a sober living program or your domestic situation is untenable, then do see help in order to make those changes that you need to.
