Yari Ortiz and Robert Rosario: Unparalleled Evolution

Unrefined collaboration and inimitable art. Individually powerful and together unstoppable. Creating flavorful music in combination with pure raw art, artists Yari Ortiz and Robert Rosario are in constant evolution.

With over 11 albums, Latin Grammy recording artist Robert Rosario keeps pumping the musical vein. His most recent album, La Maquina (translates as The Machine) now available on iTunes, Spotify and other musical platforms is one that originated in his living room. He says  his music is 'influenced by various cultures, including but not limited to Cuban, African, and Brazilian rhythms'.

Born into the love of music, like his father Roberto Rosario, Robert was enamored by the musical atmosphere of his hometown Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He earned his music degree at Berklee College of Music. Working around the states with musical projects like In the Heights, Rosario also toured across the globe. His musical genius was also shaped by the musical cultures of New York, Spain, India, and many more.

With inevitable love for the arts, Yari Ortiz found her muse, the camera. Her love for photography was born in the midst of the wild and life-changing musical tours. Yari’s work was now unparalleled art through the lens. With successful art shows and tireless conceptual artwork, Yari has photographed international artists like Grammy Award Winner Oscar Hernández, Grammy Nominee Huey Dunbar, singer-songwriter Latin Grammy Nominee Raquel Sofia, and Billboard Latin Music Award Winner Prince Royce, just to name a few. As her skills unfold, so does she. Art videography and direction are the latest addition to her portfolio, adding the element of conceptual art  and surrealism into her work in subtle, noticeable, and emotionally colorful ways. Yari is a true artist showcasing her work constantly in various art forms.

Together Robert and Yari continue to explore the internal and external ways art is transmitted. Ortiz has also joined Rosario in his musical venture finding her voice as La Wipiti. Most recently, you can hear them both collaborate in the new single, Te Traigo Flores. Robert in vocals and music; Yari in vocals and art through lens and editing.
