Actor and filmmaker Danny Arroyo has turned his focus to bring Hollywood to the Dominican Republic, his family's country of origin. www.festivaldecineglobal.org. Arroyo's multi-award-winning comedy short film BITE! which he wrote, directed and stared in, has officially been selected to screen in the Dominican Republic in February 2020 at the Global Film Festival / Festival De Cine Global Dominicano (FCGD). The Global Film Festival presents a selection of the best international, dramatic and documentary films to enrich the country's film culture and to bring the seventh art into all sectors of Dominican society. The Festival contributes to raising awareness and understanding of global issues through stories about events and people that have left a mark on our lives. It uses film as a way to promote and encourage discussion about social issues, politics and economics.

Arroyo is an award-winning actor, writer, and producer with over 80 film and TV commercial credits. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Screenwriting, Producing & Directing from The Los Angeles Film School. His recent credits include the main lead roles and producer on three feature films. A dramatic true story film titled The Last Smile (a multiple festival award winner including Best Actor & Best Film), a suspense police thriller titled Branded, and a romantic comedy titled Switched at Love. Arroyo is a series regular on the TV series titled Sangre Negra. Soon to be seen on the El Rey Network where he plays Detective Christian Santos of the Los Ángeles Police Department.
