'Force of Nature' Arrives in Digital

A high-stakes, edge-of-your-seat thriller, Force of Nature is coming to Digital on On Demand. In this thunderous action-thriller, a cop, a doctor, and a retired detective team up to battle a deadly gang of thieves as a brutal hurricane engulfs the city. The film stars Emile Hirsch, Kate Bosworth, Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Mel Gibson, David Zayas, Stephanie Cayo, and Will Catlett.

Synopsis
Mel Gibson stars in this action-thriller that explodes during a violent Category 5 hurricane. As disgraced cop Cardillo (Emile Hirsch, Into the Wild) races to evacuate an apartment building, he comes across Dr. Troy (Kate Bosworth, Superman Returns) and her retired detective father, Ray (Mel Gibson, Braveheart). The Force of Nature Blu-ray and DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $21.99 and $19.98, respectively. Force of Nature premieres in households everywhere through Digital and On Demand on June 30. The film will also be released on Blu-ray (plus Digital) and DVD on the same day.

The 63rd Annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade Arrives with Bomba

Rosie Perez, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Esai Morales, Gilberto Santa Rosa, La India, and Pedro Capo are some of the names headlining The National Puerto Rican Day Parade.

This June 14, the program will feature the Afro-Puerto Rican dance, Bomba, historically used as an artistic and peaceful form of protest and cultural pride.

Here are the details of the event you don't want to miss.

The National Puerto Rican Day Parade announces an all-star lineup of Puerto Rican luminaries from television, film, music and theater to headline the commemorative TV special to air on WABC-TV channel 7 on June 14 at noon EDT, given the postponement of the 63rd Annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade that normally takes place on 5th Avenue, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Confirmed artists include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rosie Pérez, Esaí Morales, Gilberto Santa Rosa, La India, Victor Manuelle, Ivonne Coll, Pedro Capó, Anthony Ramos, Ariana DeBose, Kany García, and many others. The TV special will continue the longstanding tradition of the largest celebration in America that recognizes Puerto Rican culture and history, in addition to raising awareness of the issues that affect Puerto Rico.

A key feature in the program will be the Puerto Rican community's solidarity with Black people around the world by showcasing the traditional dance of Bomba, an Afro-Puerto Rican tradition of music and dance that represents resistance, survival, celebration and healing.

Today, Bomba has become an artistic and culturally meaningful form of protest and a symbol of pride.

For the first time ever, National Puerto Rican Day Parade programming will air in the San Francisco Bay area on ABC7/KGO-TV, at 2:00pm PDT, as well as on ABC5 WORA-TV in Puerto Rico at noon EDT. It will also be streamed on abc7ny.com, the station's connected TV apps on Amazon FireTV, Android TV, Apple TV, and Roku. The stream will also be available on the websites of the ABC Owned Television stations in Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh/Durham and Fresno.

In late May, WABC-TV Channel 7 and the National Puerto Rican Day Parade (NPRDP) Board of Directors announced their plans to broadcast a 90-minute TV special, hosted by WABC-TV anchors Joe Torres and David Novarro along with Sunny Hostin, co-host of The View.

'Four Kids and It' Arrives this Month!

A fun, engaging, and adventurous story is making its way to our homes. Based on the best-selling book by Jacqueline Wilson, Four Kids and It is a charming and whimsical story. The magical adventure is coming to Digital, DVD, Blu-ray and On Demand. Here are details.

Synopsis
On a seaside holiday, four kids from a blended family visit the beach, where they discover a floppy-eared creature that grants their wishes. But there’s a catch: the kids’ adventures in rock-climbing, pop stardom, and flying end promptly at sunset — leaving them in danger each time. Can they learn to control the magic before something dreadful happens?

Four Kids and It features a star-studded cast including Paula Patton (2 Guns, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) and Matthew Goode (TV’s Downton Abbey and The Crown), with Russell Brand (TV’s Ballers, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and the voice of Academy Award® winner Michael Caine (1999, Best Supporting Actor, The Cider House Rules; The Dark Knight franchise, The Prestige).

Based on iconic children’s author Jaqueline Wilson’s Four Children and It, the story is a modern twist based on E. Nesbit’s 1902 classic Five Children and It, and also stars Teddie Malleson-Allen, Ashley Aufderheide, Billy Jenkins, and Ellie-Mae Siame. The film adaptation is directed by Andy De Emmony (TV’s “The Nest” and “Spitting Image”) and written by Simon Lewis.

Four Kids and It will be available on June 30th on Digital, Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand, including major digital platforms including iTunes, Amazon Prime, Vudu, and others.
