Following 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, J.J. Abrams will return to complete the sequel trilogy as writer and director of Star Wars: Episode IX. Chris Terrio and Abrams will co-write the film. Episode IX will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Bad Robot, Abrams, and Lucasfilm.
