'EGEDA and Fundación Secuoya' Renew Alliance to Make Madrid the World’s Capital of Ibero-American Audiovisual in September 2022
Following the international success of last year’s event, EGEDA-FIPCA and Fundación Secuoya have renewed their alliance to host the world’s largest Ibero-American audiovisual event for a second time: Iberseries Platino Industria.
By joining forces (while each still manitaining their individual identities), Iberseries and Platino Industria will deliver a world-class initiative aimed at fostering collaborative projects and international productions in Spanish and Portuguese on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as promoting and enhacing the visibility of Ibero-American films, TV series and professionals.
For a second consecutive year, Madrid will be hosting an unparallel event that will bring together the world’s most exceptional creators, producers, distributors and artists from September 27 through 30, 2022 at the Matadero Madrid. The full program will be announced shortly.
THE INAUGURAL EDITION: A MEDIA AND ATTENDANCE SUCCESS
The event’s first edition took place in Madrid from September 27 to October 1, 2021 and had over 2000 attendees, 57 professional panelists, 786 pitches and over 100 highly-regarded figures representing leading audiovisual institutions and companies across Ibero-America. Over 300 accredited domestic and foreign journalists covered the event.
The inaugural edition featured four intense days of activities. Among the many attendees were Oscar Award-winner fillmaker Alejandro Amenábar, American scriptwriter and TV producer Chris Brancato, Juan Ponce, of Telemundo Streamig Studios, or Miguel Salvat and Marcelo Tamburri, of WarnerMedia.
