AN AUCTION & FIESTA CELEBRATION: HISPANIC AMERICAN COMMITMENT TO EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AND WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU

HACER AUCTION & FIESTA IS AN OVERALL  HOLIDAY SUCCESS

The 20th anniversary for HACER took place this past weekend at the Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles. A diverse group of people from different walks of life gathered to celebrate the anniversary and participate in silent and live auctions, auctions to which proceeds are donated to the financial assistance of high school seniors who desire to attend college. Understanding the rapid growth of the hispanic community in the United States, The Hispanic American Commitment to Education Resources has awarded over $4.5 million in scholarships and it continues to do so. In fact, during the Fiesta event this past weekend, a well deserved candidate was awarded with a scholarship to continue his education. Rafael Cubillo, Jr. was recipient of the HACER scholarship. He is currently attending CSU and studying Film & Television Production.

The Auction and Fiesta featured live entertainment, handcrafted tequila and rum tastings and latin-inspired cuisine stations, including Brazil, Peru and Mexico, just to name a few.
